It would be for a reason, if a father advises against a relationship, or for it. Of course if your mindset has not achieved obedience from your children, most likely it is not very well qualified either to help them choose a life partner. As for my user name, "ben" is hebrew for "son of". So "ben Jeshua" would mean "son of Jesus", which all christians are, sons of Jesus, God's children. I think you just mistook it. Are you a Christian? Also, about polygamy, the Bible does not forbid it, nor does it encourage it.
