This was the first WM I attended in person. I would later attend WM 24...and I have tickets to 28 this year.
Watching the tape back, after Lex and Davey Boy celebrate their win, Vince says - "I believe they'll be teaming up for a long time to come!" In September, Luger bolted for WCW...lol.
He lost - Begelow lost. Jobbed to a never was . . . If Shaq is smart he will never get involved in WM28 . . . This is wrestling - Not Basketball which has nothing to do with fighting. If Slow wants to take somebody on he can go after Tebow and hit him with the Gideon Punch . . .Or The Biblical Bash.
I remember some of that, mainly BC this was the last tyme I saw my best friend Amado Leon, and Harvey Wippleman. Great match, like "Mean" Gene Oakerland, Kevin Kelly, and a few superstars said on "Confidential" in 2000
hahhah my mom let me stay up late to watch this on FOX, when I was 7 years old. 23 years old now. Don't watch wrestling anymore but back then, it was my LIFE.
I will always remember "BAM BAM, ya gonna get SLAMMED:"
Bam Bam was hugely underrated. Argubly the best big man in Wrestling History. Along with Andre and Yoko. He really cariied this match to a decent and probably only newsworthy match of this entire, dreadful Mania. If Bret Hart nd Dynamite Kid think you're the best big man in History then you're good, you're damn good
Keeping the quest musical number short and relegating it the opening of a major PPV is the way to go. The crowd was totally into it. Compare this to WCW in 98-99 where the celebrity guests were integrated into the show and brought back week after week. KISS? Master P? Even Megadeth? Yawnfest. This was really tasteful and exciting.
I always loved that opening video with Big Al singing the WrestleMania 11 theme song but I could never find it until now! Even after all these years I still remembered the words to it.
This special was supposed to be on NBC that June but they pulled it at the last minute. it was so starnge with them trying to make a five month old event seem new.

In the original airing, when Salt is shoving her ass to the camera, unbeknownst to McMahon, his mic was on and he yelled "WOW!"

If you watched the match close you seen that Bam Bam in the 1st part of the match told LT to push him when he put his head around LT's ear.

Yeah This was kind of out of date because Shawn Michaels was now a face since summer and I think Bam Bam Bigelow too.
