The top comment is incorrect in some details. The alignment with the galactic centre occurs every year but only aligns on dec 2012 every 12,920 years (1/2 cycle) and june 21 every 12,920 years (1/2 cycle). These appear to be the important alignment times. The earth does NOT pass through the galactic equator every 13,000 years. Never the less there is evidence that galactic alignments which occur on dec 21 and june 21 ie every 12,960 years do have powerful effects on the earth.

it is not possible to study what happened 13000 years back. We cannot time it to 2012 currently, as man hardly knows anything fair beyond around 1000 years or so, It is a common sense. It is a gross mistake to time it. It is only possible to study the future. But I agree to only 1 thing that the past was more advanced than the present and most of the knowledge (whatever known) was / is suppressed due to unknown reasons.

This goes with things I have read that says emotions will become more heightened (maybe 100 x) during this period of time. So be careful where your head is!

If we are going to pass through "the galactic plains" there might be debris similar to what is found in Saturns rings only on a much larger scale. Might explain the Ice age dust... possibly. Peace :)

The galactic center is continuously emitting gamma rays along the galactic equator, Google search "3.5 trillion electron volts". The earth passes through the galactic equator every 13,000 years, see precession of equinox. The Super Wave theory fits the last time our planet aligned with the galactic equator some 13,000 years ago. The Mayans said on each alignment a fiery dragon breaths fire on the earth. Did they mean gamma rays? Will gamma rays cause the next change in consciousness?
