For the defense of singer, Dusan Kollar - yes, it is bad, but originally it was meant to be sung by Daniel Hulka, but due to his illness he was replaced by his choirboy at the last moment.
I must agree with the nay-sayers, this is bad on several fronts. The only phrase the singer got right at all was, "Dream on." It's very nice for those few seconds.
It's quite a contrast in all of these videos... orchestra arrangement is good, bud the interpretation not... I feel this one is above the average compared to the others.
Much of the emotional impact of the song seems sadly lacking in a rather formulaic delivery - did he understand what he was singing ? Compare to Royal Philharmonic Orchestra version with full choir, or guitarfreak289 version overdubing himself just a few times and here a whole orchestra seems wasted on such a thin-sounding performance
