  • that's the fuckin best!

  • All these nostalgia comments are making me sad! I grew up playing this game too, the sp version of this was horrible. Ughh I wish I still had my super nintendo. Ughh I'm growing up -_- this game was soo fun.

  • I did a remake/remix of this song, have a listen watch?v=EErEzZXcCDY

  • love the part from 1:24 to 1:44 <3

  • screw this I'm dusting off my Super Nintendo and popping this sucker in!

  • @phillicheesestake Hell yea!

  • @phillicheesestake i honestly can't believe you let dust gather on it, when all my friends told me "Dude sell that piece of junk and buy a 360 so we can play cod" I told them screw cod my childhood memories mean so much more than shooting people in the face

  • @metroid1234567 true that man. and the dust was an exxaggeration. i play my old consoles alot. they are so fun man. brings back memories.

  • @phillicheesestake yeah i don't see that big deal with newer consoles, they have better graphics but they'll never be as good as the older systems, at least in my opinion anyways

  • I hear this every time I play Minecraft.

  • nostaligia to the max...

  • The start sounds a lot like the start ofthe music in the Magitek Factory from Final Fantasy VI. And that's no bad thing!

  • This video is an epic succeed.

  • This game had some of the best music you will EVER hear in a video game. i give this game a 10 out of 10 on the soundtrack, such a masterpiece

  • ho man, I'm old! :'(

  • who let kaptain k. rool get on here and click the dislike button?!

  • @djmocha7 And one of his minions clicked it too.

  • David Wise is genius. This and Enchanted Wood are the best songs. Oh and K Rool's theme too!

  • @Macca1969 Uhh. Dave Wise. Not David. ._.

  • @Lokaio673 Well Dave is the shortened version of David. But I see what you're saying. He goes by Dave. Not sure why it was worth commenting on something I posted probably a year ago though....

  • My favourite song

  • Man, I grew up playing this game. I remember playing when I was about 5 years old and I still play it. The music will always hold a great amount of meaning for me.

  • Intense nostalgia.

  • this and the stickerbush and hot heat bop are the bests musics! pure nostalgia, i want kid again!

  • Ah the the memories of returning to this level just to hear this song.

  • 1 dislike?! how dare you dislike this! you are so dumb, you are really dumb, forreal..

  • woah... like it :-)

I was 15 when i heard this song the first time... 12 years have passed since that... =_=

  • @Klowurm900 Lol, you're 27, yet you use newfag emotes such as "=_="? LOLOLOL

  • @Klowurm900 thank youtube that you can hear it ;)

  • Am I the only one whose head is nodding?

  • This song is a hard pick for #1 between Bramble Scramble & this

  • hopefully this will be in donkey kong country returns 2

  • Donkey Kong country returns = 9.5 in game informer!

  • i say sticker bush symphony is better

  • epic song

  • One of the best quality versions I can find of this song. Props to the guy who uploaded.

  • this song sounds like phil collins had his hand in making this

  • This song totally reminds me of People are People by Depeche Mode.

  • I wanna put this in a club to see what happens.

  • This music always remember me of dwarves... especially in the miners mumblings part at 1:24

    Epic.

  • A futuristic blend of hip hop and techno with a swirl of video game flavor. Made in the 90s and this tune can STILL be bumped!

  • I would purposefully take my time through these levels just to listen to the awesome music.

  • All this song needs is Phil Collins singing.

  • @IamSnoogans yeah true x)

  • beyond good.

  • god damnit... they don't make games like they used to...

  • IT SEEMS THEY MADE THIS MUSIC WITH TOOLS MINES SOUND EFECTS, LIKE WORIKING INSIDE THE MINE WITH HAMMERS AND SHOVELS ETC , LISENT CARFULLY WHAT I MEAN AND COMENT ME PLEASE. NICE MUSIC!!!

  • AH memories ^_^

  • The humming part at 1:25 makes me want to cry it's so beautiful.

  • @85ihateposeurs i agree with you, this music is so incredible, i think the tone of the track is very serious but the humming kind of smoothes everything over (ie light in a tunnel). its hard to relate to a song with no lyrics, but its very thought provoking. i love dkc music!

  • /watch?v=coX8zCB32L4

  • I would put some Earthworm Jim into my top10 for sure. :)

But you put together a nice list, anyway.

    + my

  • My favorite song of all the times!!!

I can remember in the 90's when i bought this game.

Years and years passing by and and he is still a favorite!

    :D

  • man, I loved the Donkey Kong Country series. The music was epic, the gameplay was awesome, it was one of the greatest game series ever, or at least on the SNES. I miss Rareware.

  • This songs reminds me of Closer by NIN. "You let me penetrate you..."

  • This game was a lot harder when I was 6 hahahhaa. Still one of my favorites.

  • one of the best song for one of the best game ever!

brings back a lotta of memories.

  • La banda sonora de estos 3 juegos son básicamente los que marcaron la diferencia definitivamente de Snes respecto a Genesis. Ésto es IMPOSIBLE en genesis.

  • I would take my time playin the stages with this song in it just to hear it.

  • Incredible sound quality! I love the bass!

    Eternal SNES fan, good times...

  • Best song from any DKC game.

  • @Chugalg wait for donkey kong country 4 clash of the primates it pays to have a cousin who works for rare it will be on the xbox 360 since rare went to microsoft theyre also making a new zelda game metroid game and mario game for the wii

  • @rbirch335

    FAIL

  • sounds like true cd quality sound!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • DKC2 had the BEST Soundtrack amongst ALL SNES games.

  • you cant help but love everything about DKC2, it was just flawless, the music the environments. this song stole the show IMO

    IN DKC WE TRUST

    cheers

  • @xvenom12x wait 4 donkey kong country clash of the primates its supposed to have all the kongs in it it pays to have a cousin who works for rare

  • @rbirch335 Wow that's the biggest load of crap I've seen in a while. Nintendo holds ownership of the Donkey Kong games not Rare so there is no way that a game like that will ever be coming out for the Xbox 360.

  • @rbirch335 Lies. First of all, they cant do that, since nintendo owns Donkey Kong, second, in order to make one of that game, they would have to own DK countries 1-3

  • Yeah, this is cool

  • underappreciated song.

  • To this very day, this trakc sounds brand new.

Made WAY ahead of its time.

  • @Goshous

    it's that awesome

  • @Goshous Ya damn right about that.

  • @Goshous don't think it's ahead of it's time. but really, good music sounds fresh even 30 or 40 years after it was made.

    quality surpasses time.

  • Oh memories...

Notice that this song's backing is composed entirely of mining sounds.

The "drum" line is just metallic mining sounds.

DKC2 was so amazing, greatly due to its music.

No other game in history IMO so well marries its music to its gameplay environments.

  • I LOVE THE BREAKDOWN SO EPIC

  • idk why but all the music in dk2 was just fucking epic

  • Its Dave Wise, being his regular Kickass self.

Thats why this game was so awesome.

  • the one place on youtube with no comment conflicts, everyone is so happy haha

  • i missed DK games

RARE lose their touch when they go to microsoft

  • @majeed13 Well how would you expect something like killer instinct/jet force gemini on the wii....it just wont work.

  • I think jet force gemini could easily work on the wii, metroid prime worked fine on the wii, it could use a similar scheme as that game. I can already imagine using the motion control to fly the dog around.

  • Comment removed

  • @majeed13 Yeah. It seems like recently most game companies have been going downhill.

  • @majeed13 well a DK game is coming out its called donkey kong country returns i hope its as good as DKC 1,2, and 3

  • @majeed13 You haven't played Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, then.

  • @majeed13

new DK game for wii is supposed to awesome..like old times =)

  • @majeed13 I agree especially with Banjo and Kazooie nuts and bolts how different it is

  • @majeed13

    very true indeed.

  • @majeed13

The only good things they did since the buyout were to re-release Diddy Kong Racing and Perfect Dark. I think all their staff were bitter about it and so they stopped trying.

  • @majeed13 .....

  • What made this song great is the sounds used that really made you think of the mines.

That's why remixes of this song kinda suck

  • @SolidSnakeRules yep, they aren't bad but nothing can top the original ...

  • I sometimes wonder why this tune wasn't actually on the game's official soundtrack.

Dave Wise is a musical genius.

  • Screw your Xboxes and Playstations, think about the Classics!

  • wrong. classics AND present-day is what a true gamer loves. this song would be great on DDR.

  • For real! Especially this game.

  • Too bad I lost my original copy of this game. SO awesome. Emulators work, but can't beat just playing it with the SNES controller on a TV.

  • songs from donkey country 2 were the shit!!! good fuckin memories.. i need to find where i put this damn game!! must be hard to find now on the market.. guess ill jus have to turn my house upside down to find where i put it ...

  • SNES soundcard was made from SONY when they had a deal tht they would make a CD ext - this deal was made afta one of the staff at sony saw the card on the 8 bit NES and showed how he could make it more powaful - thts y we have the amazin SNES music just 4t id share this with ya :)

  • Love that Omen sound like from celtic guys or something

  • I always loved this one. I'm such a nerd, I used to sleep to a tape of DKC 1 + 2 music I made by hooking up my SNES to a tape deck.

  • hadn't we all???

  • Donkey Kong Country 2 had one of the greatest videogame soundtracks ever!

  • kickass!

  • OSHI-

Nostalgia :') the industrial beat on this is simply awesome

  • Fuck yeah! My favourite BGM of all time!!

  • This sounds like Squawk's Shaft.

  • I can hear the squaks of pirate birds, coming at me beak first. AAAAANNNNHHH! swoooooooopppp

  • Yeah your right :)

With that Claptrap running at him, and he looks like: "Ah who cares". xD.

  • diddy looks like hes high lol

  • Duuude, that croc is, like, totally talkin' to me, man!

  • The one thing that comes to mind is the grunting death noise of those fat crocs with the cannonballs

  • GRONK!!

  • best video game ever

  • I always found the dkc music to be the best music for the snes.

  • good

but my favorite is Crocodile Cacofone

  • Mine too!! I like that music very much, it gave to K. Roll a... kind of rude attitude.

  • i love this song, 2nd or 3rd favorite DKC2 song

  • What's your 1st?

  • bramble blast, yours?

  • I always loved the mine levels for this song. :)

  • I love this music alot. Sometimes, when I played this game, I played the mine levels, just to hear the music.

Does anyone else think that this music reminds you of the Life in the Mines from DK 1.

  • It is "based" on Misty Menace

  • yeah because it has the same metal clanging sound in the beginning that Misty Menace has in the middle!! I always wondered what those sounds were..

  • This series was win. New DK games are testicle-suckers.

  • The n64 one was pretty good.

  • This song always made me sad. Guess that's why it's called Mining Melancholy.

  • why did it make you sad...?

  • I don't know... it just made me sad...

  • I love the music to all 3 DCK games, if u just listen to the instrumentals...they're awesome where DKC4???? Cmon nintendo/Rare!

  • Rare is no longer with nintendo. Rare went to Microsoft. Anyway the guys who were famous for making the DKC series left Nintendo and Rare so its not a real loss. Still, These games are GOD! Nintendo is GOD!

  • the only thing about this game is that when you lose a life they play that odd music. it give me chills running down my spine.

  • I never realized how great the music in this game really is! I guess when i was young and this came out I was GLUED to such a great gameplay. i never really cared.. lol

  • Really, this game has one of the best soundtrack ever!

  • ahhhh game music sets the scene for any part of a game.

  • They see me 'trollin

  • You label yourself as cool, which automatically makes you uncool.

You listen to "music" by people who call themselves dizzie rascal and scooter = uncool.

You go to a video just to troll it....uncool.

You, my friend, are an idiot.

  • Your cool, except that your not, this song is good. And calling people social rejects when you go around trolling videos?

  • you have lost your right to post online forever, dumbass.

  • Obvious troll is obvious.

  • This song is Quantum Hot Shit. It reminds me so much of the 90's.

  • the beginning sounds suspiciously like the magitek research facility music in Final Fantasy VI (Devil's Lab is the name of the music)

  • I remember my friend freestyled to this...It was like rap heaven, I swear.

  • What do you mean? I don't remember the exact lyrics, but I do remember him freestyling to it. It was sometime last year (yeah, I still have this on the SNES).

  • I have all these songs on my ipod for my "chill out" music. Amazing music.

  • I remember always thinking that the Zingers (bee bad guys) were diggin' the song and joined in at 1:25.

  • Absolutely some of the best I've ever heard.

  • this game was by far, the best ( and the hardest) in the snes' DKC trilogy, great ost

  • This game has the best music ever

  • Thats right it has!

  • toe jam, toe toe toe jam

  • wicca-wicca toe jam, toe toe toe jame

  • Una de mis favoritas del juego, saludosssssss!!!!!!!^^

    Seth^^

  • eu amo mining song...obrigado...BRAZIL.

  • This is an amazing soundtrack... Coral Capers is probably my favourite, but the whole thing is really well done. Nice one Rare.

  • Well, Coral Capers is from the DKC1 soundtrack, but they're both great :D

  • Love this. Stickerbrush Symphony and Hot Head Bop are awesome too!

  • This is one of my favourite songs from that game! Oh now I must play it! Gonna search for my SNES! :D
