lol I bet all anime artist went "damn they did that movie pretty well" lolz i love anime but Tarzan is a classic example of western cartoon done right!
@ernadmahmic: you do know that Japanese people have been forced to all those cartoons? Besides, tarzan isn't that good. Go watch wondering son and other good Japanese movies and drama. Moreover, they weren't credited. Which makes tarzan less creditable. It fails... have a nice day..
you people are serious that this is better than phil collins version, phil collins voice was genius with this song it was like ear gasm,oh wait a minute why is it its people who have anime videos in their channel that think the japanese version is better.like the the two thumbs up comments, they so obsessed with anime they think everything japanese is better.tsk tsk.

God that jaguar still scares me .... I remember being 6 years old in the theatre watching this and I started sobbing when the baby gorilla was killed .... still makes me tear up .... TT-TT
@1412Bunny i totally know what you mean. i can't see this movie without crying in at least one part. usually it's the little gorilla's death or when tarzan was going to leave with jane.
The reason why Japanese seems so emotional is actually pretty simple.
You aren't listening to the words. You're listening to syntax and the feeling behind the words. Because that's universal. No matter what language you speak, anger sounds like anger. Fear sounds like fear. Since the physical wording gives you nothing towards understanding without weeks and weeks of repetition in the language, your brain has to focus around it.
Hence, you perceive Japanese as being more emotional. But all you're really doing is paying attention to emotion to begin with since emotion and syntax is the only thing your brain can familiarize with. There's nothing special about the language that makes it that way. It's just your perception that makes you think that.
Actually, I think this one conveys the emotions better for some reason. I am partial to the Japanese language, though, but to try and remain unbiased...maybe it's the different translation of the lyrics. You know how when songs are translated, just the pure meaning is left behind, without unneccesary extra words? I think that's what it is, the concentrated purity of the message. It just seems so much more powerful...
@Cierrakahana No it's your oppnnon and your entitled to it, I love the Japanese version to, I like Phil Collins because he is one of the few english singlers to put their souls into the songs they sing.
Unlike those Hanna montana's or JLS, or whatever they called, all they do is just try to sound good, them to me are just copycat singers really just mimicing other singers, Phil Collins and the japanese don't try to
@hypersaiyangoku Oh yeah, I agree fully. It's definitely harder to find someone who truly sings their heart out among english singers; I wonder why that is? Is is because it's become so commercialized? talent is so underrated anymore...
Phil Collins does that too, you're right. Still, I am partial to the natural intensity of the Japanese language. Emotion flows from it so easily, whereas English is just too...too formal, i guess. It's much harder to find such passionate songs in english at all.
Omg, this scene always makes me cry!

@Xenon940 you mean most of the time, but Phil Collins is a singer from the UK who does put emotion into his songs.
but for this song i say Phil in better and Japanese a close second
