@Jan3sable Pretty sure I talk about it in the video and the specs I clearly posted in the Details for this video state that the CPU in that computer is AMD. So Yes.
I've watched a lot of videos on this, and I am attempting it myself. I just wanted to mention how much your video helped me find everything I needed to get this done. Still in the process of doing it but I can tell I'm getting close!
P.S. everything on my computer is Nvidia or AMD and as you said those are widely supported. So wish me luck on this, sure beats spending $1000+ on a mac!
Well, I have hit somewhat of a standstill really. I have gotten past my kernel panic but am having another issue. It really is just stemming from having an ATI graphics card in the computer I think. I have an older nVidia card that I will eventually throw in, just hesitant to do it because I use this PC for gaming and this would be a big downgrade so I am kind of waiting to do this till I build my new PC. It does work, I just cannot see anything lol.
Actually if you are doing this for the purpose of previewing the software before committing to the buy it isn't, which I actually fully intend to do as I am actually a Mac fan - they are just a tad expensive for me to buy all at once. In fact I am pretty sure I mention it in one of my videos, if not - Im saying it now.
Because without a software license you don't actually own the software, and to have a license you would need to purchase the software, which is what makes it trial basis only. But I will be buying a Mac soon enough.
Even if you buy it - you never actually own it - it's licensed to you. And even if you buy the full version and install it on non Apple hardware you are in violation of the EULA - so, illegal once again.

If you had bothered to read my above comment you would see that this is for preview purposes only before commiting to buying an actual Mac, not just Leopard. I plan on buying a Mac, not just Leopard, when I can actually afford to. In the mean time I am doing this as a project to preview the software before I buy the hardware since I don't have $1500 or more just laying around.
apparently ya have to grab netkas' version of natit, and the 10.5.2 kexts should work with the card ... hey, the fact you got a picture is encouraging, even in safe mode lol
hmmm, I have something else I am going to try, which supposedly works, which is just removing some other kexts but I will keep that in mind and look into it for sure.
oh, if you have the time to explain your plan to me, shoot. or maybe link me? my card does not arrive until tomorrow in the mail, and i shall be installing mac os x as my primary OS.
just something to note, if your CPU is only SSE2 and not SSE3 some features will be disabled. Plus it isn't just a native install, things have to be done to the installer.
Does this works on amd ?

M1SH3 3 years ago
Yeah it won't just show SSE 2 or 3 to have SSe 3 you need SSE 2 so you have the required specs on your processor.
CyberDude4819 3 years ago
ok, kewl :) But, i tried to install the OSX, and i get an error that say: "Memory allocation error (0xdeadbeef0x0) something like that i think....
You know what the problem could be? Can you recommend a torrent that i can download?
M1SH3 3 years ago
I hear people have been having great success with Kalyway and Ikatos on Intel processors. Since I am on AMD things are a bit different
