  • Listen here bygod aint no damn way your lil 4 bangin p.o.s is gonna take out a 1970's or 80's model Ford Ltd built to take a beating from hell with a ole chevy 350 motor. You wanna derby? come to the states big boy and we'll see who aint afraid of head on. A US car will crumple yours into a ball of shit in one hit. We aint derbyin subarus bub.

  • love the vid but shod use cool old ford

  • hey check out my in dash cam of my derby car i think you would like it.

  • This in car camera sucked we couldn't see any hits!

  • Sure is Bonofan

  • parramatta speed way !

  • who here loves taking the old muscles in derby yeah!!!!!!!!

  • u boys in the uk hit hard but bring ur cars over here in the states and well show yall a derby

  • @MrJimmyjoe4 Were in Sydney Australia NOT U.K. Bring it on down under. We'll show ya how it's done.

  • @SHENKLEMAN Shenkle, you wouldn't last with these boys over here... Sorry, they invented automobiles. Therefore, they'll beat you with the automobile.

  • @MrJimmyjoe4 haha im from the uk come over here n race then see if u can get out of a car !! we do the oval racing so alot harder n faster, not scared to give a head on !

  • what kind of camera do you uuse?? thanks

  • hardest hit is at 1:58

  • when your 50 and have the knackered body of a 85 year old, back problems and memory loss you wont look back at this like you do now. Youll think what a fu**** idiot i was .As stated standard seat and seat belt , headrest, suicide, unlike most on here it was horrendous to watch.dohhhh.

  • In the uk we run a checkerplate panel

Across the drivers door, also have a full

Race harness(no wonder you guys hurt yourselfs!) check out firecracker banger race on here, bit more full on but very little injurys.

  • right side stearing? what country? here we normally dont use shoulder harnesses, just a lap belt, and no way would i use a head rest. ya cant see well behind to aim.

  • What kind of car is that?

  • @schaeferspeedmn EA or EB Ford Falcon. About 1990

  • theres why you don't use stock shifter linkage in a derby car!!

  • Come get you some TEAM DEMOLITION at Rt 66 Speedway in Joliet IL ...

in United States. See REAL full size cars, not lil crap econo boxes !

There are vids on it on U tube ! Opie is a God !

  • My bro lasted 5 mins in a derby the best idea is 2 put a pillow at the door it takes sum pain away

  • Nice work mate!

  • good video man, it really does show what it feels like to be in one.. and it hurts like hell but wayy fun. I agree tho lol headrest shoulda been removed..

  • where is this at and what car is it thanks

  • @robertismad See earlier posts. It's in Parramatta (Sydney). 91 EA or EB Ford Falcon.

The current inline 6 is an evolution from this one and it's predecessors. It's a tough engine and piss easy to work on. That is unless Ford decides to ditch our rear wheel drive and replace it with a front wheel from the US. Then we'll prob get a V6. Hopefully us OZ guys will design the next Mustang and we'll use that platform!

  • You should use a shifter that would be mounted directly on the transmission...

  • Cool vid. Is it me or is the driver driving on the right side of the car?

  • If you've never been in a derby that's pretty much what it feels like. .This video makes me realize just how much I miss driving. Haven't done it the past 4 years due to money. Great Video. Keep them coming.

  • you can break your neck so easily

    but its still cool

  • lol, that shit hurts sometimes! i did my first derby 6 years ago and still feel the hits!

  • great incar cam but i hope everyone learned not to tie a rope to the headrest if you leave it in lol

  • Hi, that's some great quality video. I'd like to enter a derby for the first time this summer and would like to shoot in-car footage like you did. How were you able to mount your cameras so that they didn't shake excessively or fall down??

    Thanks.

  • We made a plastic cage to fit the camera to, then we put some foam inserts to prevent shock. bolt the camera in the specific location and leave a small hole in the cage to get a finger in and activate the camera. Make sure your derby club allow the camera to be fitted. Rules vary from club to club.

  • Thank you very much for the advice.

  • Talk about brutal

  • why7 are you driving a 6cly and driving agenst the 8cy

  • um why did you pull the headrest out in the derby was it blocking your view?

  • It clearly gets knocked out on it's own at around 02:52

  • thats why you put the shifer on the floor so it dont fail like that

  • so is this in the uk? i thought all they did was banger racing and not full on demo derby

  • It's in Australia

  • in oure car we had to take every thin gout like the dash and every thing. and we had to put the gir shift on the floor. that was the rules. but no afence but i think the way we have it her in colorado is better then yall have it. but good vid

  • youtubecom /watch?v=slt9PQHEllk

  • Damn, what a rush! My brother has competed in our local Demo Derby 4 times. I want to get a demo car and try it one year. Thanks for posting the vid.

  • bell is rung

  • come to utah! then the title of your video might change hehe

  • Nobody wants to come out to Utah! "hehe"

  • very good drving man, i know how hard it is to us you back end and aviod head crashes.

  • dumbass brit derby was invented in america with no modifications no rollcages

  • These ropes are dangerous (danger to strangle yourself), I can see no roll cage and there is no grid/metal bars welded over the windshield. If a car gets airborne and hits yours at windshield hight, you're probably dead... :-(

  • ha, roll cage? only pussys put a roll cage in a demo car, up in CT we strip em down and run em, i can see why the windsheild could be a problem though, what we do here better than using a rope is weld a bar behind the seat, good for holding to while your looking backwards and its easy to break te seat, if you have a bar it holds it up right

  • Security issues are handled different from country to country. Me and some friends of mine intended to participate a stock car race here in germany. The car was not the problem, but they wanted us to install a complete roll cage plus door protection etc. etc. Because of the thickness (at least 12 mm steel pipes) we abandoned that idea, the cost for building that was far too high... :-(

  • yeah, i can understand that, steel for roll cages are definitely not cheap, when we do trailer races up here we got to put roll cages is (12mm) the same thing, its good for safety but not good for the low budget racers yah know

  • is ct conneticut? you do the woodgooger derbies?

  • yeah it connecticut, but idk what a woodbooger derbie is?

  • you know where they had the derby in nh? the jolly roger one?, well they are havin another one in swanzey on the 6th of june and im goin to it with my brother

  • thad be sick, weve been tryin to tak our derby career to a different state, u gotta tell me when the next one is, i might be a good time

  • the next one is next saterday, its in swanzey nh, we went to one at the jolly roger mosorsports park but its somewheres else cuz they are having a race that day

  • Takes a licking keeps on ticking... for bout 5 minutes. But not to worry, it'll buff right out

  • I'd be worried about the headrest stabbing me in the back of the neck ! Great vid !

  • that guy sucks compaired to my brother,

  • Well no one said he was great. So take a Vallium and a lie down.

  • what does the fucking title say jackass

    ?

  • Sorry you misunderstood the title fool. It's the best in car derby. Not the best driver you sav sucker. Here's your sign. L

  • what makes the car so good is it an imperial, oh wait do they even have imperials in brittanland?

  • don't you mean, imagenary brother?

  • that car was awsome to bad it broke!!!

  • Those column shifters are a PITA. Awesome vid :D

  • That's the most fun I've had watching a derby vid in a long time! It's a shame the shifter linkage came loose, the car still had some life left.

  • driveshaft?

  • 6:03 is that a check engine light?? lol

  • Its nice to see you Australia types know how to have fun :D Nice work :)

  • was the car damaged

what kind of car is this

  • no... no damage was done after several high speed collisions smart one...

  • check out his name it explains why the question is so fucking stupid

  • that crazy!!!

  • i race sport mods on dirt everytime i get hit im glad to have neckbrace. how do you not have one. just watching sounds like it hurts

  • wow no roll cage the derby i was in we had to have roll cage in it, looks like ya had fun though

  • Im actually surprised this is car is in a derby. I dunno where in Aus it is.. But our restrictions are very high.. The tough laws we have these days has seen lots of tracks close down as they can no longer operate/make money.

No roll cage, no harness, that head rest+rope I thought was pretty dangerous..

  • Sweet never seen an in car derby, i bet it got annoying real fast when you keep missing the gear i wonder if there is a way to fix that NICE VID

  • Glad you enjoyed the video. I'm quit proud of this one

  • quit proud?

  • sweeeeeeeeeeet

  • Thanks Man for your support.

  • does he rear end people to protect his engine?

  • as much as possible

  • We used two ordinary hand held Canon MV600i's. We made a cage to mount them and bolted them to the front and rear dashboard. It is important to align them correctly so you get a good shot. When the derby is about to start you get them rolling. Wallah !

  • Whats sort of cam set did you use.

  • Using a standard seatbelt are you mental? Also no rear head support once the head rest broke, could of got bad whip lash if you got jacked hard from the rear. Please next time build the seat more solid. I'm a massive banger fan but I't not nice when people get hurt!

  • @FordCortinamk3 do u know any way i could stop my door from getting smashed in so muchthey keep hitting the drivers door and it hurt im all sore

  • @Moneymaker1939 weld a piece of I beam (they use for beams in buildings and shit) weld on the inside all the way to the were the rear fender starts to the dash. it should reinforce some

  • @FordCortinamk3 do u know any way i could stop my door from getting smashed in because they keep hitting the drivers door and it hurts im all sore

  • @Moneymaker1939

Well, in the UK the cars have to be built to a certain spec, they bolt a thick bar of metal on the outside of the drivers door. Called a door bar. It helps if somone hits you by accident.

  • @FordCortinamk3 thnks

  • @FordCortinamk3 i drive in the demos too, i only use the standard seatbelt and no headrest. im just fine

  • was this at avalon raceway??

  • Parramatta Speedway

  • sydney, melbourne, perth?? where abouts

  • VERY GOOD

    VERY GOOD

  • Love your work also

  • I have been in a demo and I wish they let us have cameras. I dont care what anyone else says great vid.

  • rrrr dad

  • Ferraris should be used as demo derby cars cos there shit

  • type in "chris bull banger racing" to see some proper hits!

  • i think it was a very sh** movie i think that it is of very poor effort and that u should change the name because it is not the best in car demo derby it is the worst i hope u make better movies because so far your not

  • Listen Here Steven you little shit. Your dads video is the best.

  • aaaa dad

  • I clicked on your name and I knew who you were straight away

  • yo this dude is my uncle

  • i race bangers in the uk, we tie through the seat. eg cut a slit in the seat and go through the seat rather then round the head rest.

  • it kinda looked like the support posts of the headrest was about to stab him in the back!

  • I was woried about that also. The seat is tied for support in case of collaps. Have to come up with a new stategy. Regards Jim

  • You guys down under kick ass! Great show!

  • Dang nice video, way to take a beaten rofl

  • Great quality on the video and the audio, thanks for posting it!

  • not a problem. Enjoy !

  • hey man! what kind of car were you driving? its sounded like a newer car, rather than one from the 60's-80's.

  • it is a 1991 model Australian Ford Falcon 4.0 litre in line six cilinder

  • Great Vid! I had no idea you could have cams in the car with you, At least not here! Awesome, thanks for shareing!

  • Mikeandtiff. We hed special permission to use the cameras. People were initialy curiouse to see how it would come out. We also promised not to use these films in a commercial sence. Glad you enjoyed, stay tuned for more like this and a how to on prearing a car for a demo.

  • i was in the crowd at that demo derby i remember your car cos my brothers got one and it shows a lot about how much they can take good job.

  • Thank You

  • i got a little chuckle when the head rest popped off, great video :)

  • I'm Glad I could give you a laugh

  • Thanks man

  • hehe... I ran 3 demos about 10 yrs back at Parra in a bright pink XA wagon labelled the Goggo Mobile... Fun stuff! One day I'll do it again... one day... :)

  • really gr8 video mate hopefully we can run in car in some of our 4-cylinder racing next season should chekc out my vids

  • That would be great.

  • It is a 1991 Ford Falcon, Australian built with a 4.0 litre in line six cilinder and column automatic. Nice Eh !

  • car is what kind?

  • are u not allowed to take out the dash, or use 9-wire. u could go look at a website called wecrash, com and learn how to build a tougher car.

  • We are limited to what we can do. I will be doing a video on building a derby car in the future. Stay Tuned

  • allright, nice driving though..and goodluck in the future.

  • Very cool. I run derbys and I always wonder what I look like while smashin' people. Now I know!
