@SirRandomVlogger I don't think they were Red Wings affiliates. More likely, they had connections with the Tampa Bay Lightning. They might have been independent before serving as Lightning affliates, as were a number ofIHL teams, but I'm not sure.
@15V31F the first season they were affiliated with the lightning before turning around the 2nd season (the championship season) and signed an agreement with the red wings. thats the only reason why the vipers and the red wings had championships in the same season
