Not really.

I had the same problem of jerky footage for the pans (when shooting at 24fps on 2's), so I went back and reshot them at true 24fps (on 1's - can you call it 1's? I don't know).

12fps, though it's 24fps for the panning shots. It was shot with a Canon 350d.

The puppets had a wire skeleton (armature) for the bodies which was covered in material. The head, hands and feet where made out of Fimo clay (which is baked to make it harden) and painted.
