  • huh?

  • @bluetilefeverz I got a friend named Dillon. He's an idiot.

  • oy! we the same size of fan

  • @bluetilefeverz What we have here is some sort of Sensei vs. Sensei situation.

  • YOU SUCKS!

  • @bluetilefeverz Is your name based off of a Fu Manchu song? Or are you an old school skater?

  • @Kapr1Sun fu manchu

  • @bluetilefeverz Great band. Amazing live.

  • @Kapr1Sun I have actually seen fu manchu 4 times, i am a bigger fan

  • @bluetilefeverz 4 times myself, but my parents have seen them 7 or 8 times.

  • Good score back then

  • @GamingFreak33 Thanks dude. It was actually a pretty terrible score back then compared to the GH3 scores.

  • The difference being is that they have an official copyright, much like the people who made the songs themselves own the rights to their song (unless they've sold it or contracted it).

Just because people don't care doesn't mean that the copyright doesn't exist.

  • @MrAbomasnow They're a part of a copyrighted game, you best bet they're copyrighted. Also, both companies made their charts from scratch, and usually using different audio sources (covers vs masters, etc). Any parts that are identical are because that's the way the song is supposed to be. Either way, each company bought the rights to use the song in their game.

  • @MrAbomasnow It's a replica of the chart made under a copyright. This was also made before the GH3 game was cracked.

  • 6:35 lOl

  • rip the audio off god damnit

  • beat my gh:3 score at 5:04

  • chart or gtfo

  • Not going to host the chart because it is essentially copyrighted material.

  • technichally it's not the same midi from gh3. ;P

  • Technically, but I'm playing it safe.

  • om my snakes died? is...where irl music?

  • GOING! GOING!

    k you lost me...

  • I have 98% on TTFAF with 927k. What is your best? Where are the two sustains you left out? Just curious :)

    Well done.

  • My best is around 657k. I haven't played the game in months. I haven't FC'd bridge 1, and that's it. So theoretically, I almost have the potential to FC it :D

The first one is at 0:31

    Here's an idea!

Open 2 windows. One being this, one being another of ttfaf in GH3.

Pause one on the very first note.

Let the other play and when it hits the first note, play the one you paused.

You will find all of the chart differences.

  • Ah we are the same then. I just have the ending of bridge 1 left to FC too. I can get the fast trill but not the ending :(

  • 84% on gh3 version im roguely 30k off a 5 star :P tring to learn snake and bridge 1 and i tihnk i can get it

  • I wouldn't bother on bridge1 for getting a 5 star. I'd work out a path that works on places you can hit other than using optimal. Snake isn't too hard, What The!? isn't too hard. Use star power where you are consistent.

  • 84? I get 89 and i dont always 5* it.

  • cool

  • Oh my god the red snake O_0

  • WTF ? A girl singer :s And when its singing she just stand there xD

  • Youre much better than me ! :o

I cant even pass this in GH3 ...

And i have gotten 67% notes hit with the no fail cheat on

  • I got 80%

  • i got 81% on TTFAF with no cheats

  • 92% :]

  • I defended my position on how I liked GH3 better a few months ago.

I no longer stand by that. I now think, although it has NOTHING to do with the engine (more about the songs IMO), that GH1, GH2, and GH80s are far better than GH3. I've never had the chance to play Aerosmith, and World Tour is completely different, so those are ruled out for me.

  • Yea, that's one reason. There are only about 4-5 worthwhile songs on GH3.

  • LOL TOILET!!!!!

  • XD it's a girl singer!

How do you put custom songs onto GH II?

  • i actually think i would fail if i would try TTFAF on gh2, i mostly tap all of the solo, and since the timing window is more precise in gh2 it makes it harder to tap

  • how did u record this and does it work for ps2 plz tell me

  • This is PS2. I recorded it using a capture device called a "Gamebridge." It runs through USB2.0

  • and record with like camtasia or something?

  • The Gamebridge comes with it's own software (if that is what camtasia is?).

  • please tell me im begging u! i played every song in gh2 and get tired of em and i really want to know plz plz plz!! ty

  • how do u hack ttfaf onto gh2??????

  • 83% on........Yes We Can! Dang. Tell iamchris4life to FC that one. It'd be a lot harder. Gh2 is a hateful bitch when it comes to alt strumming and ho/po's.

  • I think GH3 is harder to alt-strum on because it doesn't let you know if you are strumming too fast. If you mess up in GH2, it's your fault, in GH3, it's unpredictable. Sometimes strumming a HO/PO will give you an extra strum at the end of a sequence.

  • Could just be me then. I can't alt-strum for shit in Gh2. But I've only played Gh2 a few times, since the last few days. I started on Gh3 and I'm used to it. So that could be why. I still think you did great on the TTFAF for it having absolutely no timing window for ho/po's. That's what really gets me, since I'm so used to being able to press the hammer-on's whenever, and not right when they pass the note chart.

  • GH2 should be easier to alt-strum on. You can tell if you are going too slow or too fast by how far off the notes are from the hitterthingy. GH3 only lets you see if you are going too slow, because if you strum early in the timing window, it doesn't actually hit the note until the note crosses. I've been playing since day 1 of GH1 (not seriously obvious, if I played seriously, I'd be the best in the world, or I'd have a stack of broken controllers), so the GH2 timing window was good for me :D

  • wat'z a guitar hero engine???

  • Any engine is an engine. Every game has an engine. It's what runs the game/whatever's mechanisms, like an engine runs a car, it can do certain functions. They can take the engine and use it in other games, like you can take a car engine and use it in other bodies. The Guitar Hero 2 engine is shared with Rocks the 80s. It lets you HO/PO a certain way, and whatever else have you. GH3 is on a different engine, so it functions differently.

  • nice jobb

  • why is there a woman singer for a song that a guy is singing but you still rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You should read some of the other comments, this has been answered many times.

  • yo how do u copy charts? plz help! (can u put the response on my profile page plz?)

  • Too lazy. (Ironically), I looked a video and look at every note, and synced it up.

  • Post the chart please? Much appreciated :P

  • I won't out of respect for the people who charted it, it is theirs. Just copy it like i did :>

  • howcome girl is the singer?

did you replace with less talk more rokk?

  • I replaced with Yes We Can, it says at the end :P

  • dude which system is this it so looks like xbox 360

  • This is the ps2, recorded on a gamebridge, so there is no quality loss.

  • why is there a woman singer for a song a guy is singing?

  • The song I replaced for TTFAF there is a girl singer. I didn't bother to change it.

  • you stuffed up solol fill 1. its diff in gh3

  • i just see it 2 be harder on GH2

  • nice, i wanna try that :). I feel like i couldnt pass that on GH2 for the first few tries, I think it would be much harder. GJ

I also like ur ending better because thats how the song actually sounds :)

  • The intro definitely takes some getting used to.

  • in gh2 u have to be precise but in gh3 u fail faster in my opinion gh3 is harder

  • GH3 you barely fail faster. Each note just doesn't bring the meter towards the green as much as it does in GH2. GH2 you have to be MUCH more precise. GH3 lets you flail a lot. GH3 is easier.

  • Ah, I see why you have 54 moar notes then the GH3 version now.

  • wats that part? R-O-R-B-R-O-R-B-R-O-R-B

  • The outro?

  • ...well you could have said that. T.T

  • "at the end" :>

  • u missed about 5 sustains in the easier parts of sam and hermas solo and what the and after up to twin solo was all fucked up

  • No, I didn't miss the sustains. They were too short for GHex to think they were there, so it got rid of them. In my .chart file they are there.

  • gh2 is so much harder than gh3 in like everything, i can beat this on gh3 but on gh2is hard, a couple of notes miss brings you all the way down quick thats why is so hard..

  • A couple of notes missed in GH3 brings the meter down farther than GH2. GH2 is harder to keep combo, so it feels like it goes down faster.

  • are you better than this on GH3?

  • MUCH better. I am also a lot better than this on GH2 :P

  • I see much more mistakes in the chart than you claim to exist.

  • Like what? The sustains missing? The sustains are there in feedback. GHex considers them too small to exist, so it just makes them regular notes. GH2 can't for strum notes like in GH3. Any mistake other than what I had mentioned is not my fault.

  • One part I noticed.

    4:17 - 4:19

  • Yea, I thought I mentioned that, oops. I've got it fixed on an update version I made...

  • is this on the 360 or ps2 because i wanna add this 2 my 360 version but idk how 2 if u know how hit me up i wanna have custom songs =(

  • You will be banned from xboxlive for modding your 360. This is ps2. Visit scorehero com and go to the forums. Read ALL OF THE STICKIES IN EVERY THREAD, THEN register. You will then know how to play customs without a doubt.

  • there are a couple of notes that shouldve been ho's

  • There's nothing I can do about that. GH3 you can force a HO/PO by choice when making a chart. GH2 generates HO/POs by a threshold that is in place for the song, default is anything under an 8th note.

  • Nice playing, your rock meter got owned at the red snake cause GH2s engine is more realistic lol.

  • parts charted wrong: 1:13, 1:16, 4:17, a lot more than 2 sustained notes, and the outro is too long. there might be more mistakes that I didn't notice.

  • There are 3 actual charting mistakes. I've covered them all. This is just an old video of the chart. The sustains are there, it is just that when in GH2, they don't show up, they are too short. The outro is NOT too long. I have a different audio file than Neversoft does, the outro just happens to be longer.

  • GOD. That pisses me off. You beat my score on guitar hero 3 for this damn song and the HOPO's in gh2 don't compare at all. Lol, I suckzor at this song

  • that sucks, i can't even get passed the intro on gh3 :(

  • The outro to my mp3 is longer than the one in GH3.

  • yeah thats true i noticed that

  • i dont know why but it looks harder on GH3 when it would be harder on GH2

  • hey nice vid, but the part at 4.17 is charted wrong :p

  • Yea, I've already fixed it on a newer version :P

  • I always wondered what this would be like...

    Nice job!

  • its not an exact chart replica at exactly :30 the yellow note is a hold note

  • Yes, there are a few mistakes. In GH3 they took out the 16th note lines in faster BPMs. I used videos to match up the notes with the lines and BPM. The GH engine won't let sustains exist that are that short. In feedback they are all sustains, but in GH2, nope.

  • lol you killed yes we can

  • an optimal fc would be crazy with that sp length.. haha

  • wat

  • the score total would be crazy if an optimal path was made up, and then someone fc'd it with that path, since the sp is longer in your version.

  • but then again the GH3 fc... err..

  • I tried to fix the T/S to have the SP last as long as normal, but I switched it the wrong way, so my 'fixed' version has SP that lasts 4x as long as GH3 D:

  • jordan is way harder than ttfaf, ive beaten ttfaf many times but never beat jordan

  • I bet you have a good opinion on this one: Which is harder: this or jordan? I think this (ttfaf) is harder

  • Jordan. I can beat this every try on each engine about 3rd try if I'm not warmed up for the intro. Jordan still gives me trouble if I don't have 2 Sp phrases at least. I have done a no SP run of each, but without SP, Jordan is still harder.

  • okey, thanks (reply to kapr1sun) just writing the direction of the reply.

  • seriously, gh2 is much funnier than gh3

  • yah i hope thats not all the better that you can do cause you made fun of me for only getting 352K on it and you didnt even beat that

  • You played on GH3, WHICH IS WAY EASIER TO KEEP COMBO ON. I have 5*d it on GH3. Seriously.

  • yah i know cause gh3 is EASY

  • But you still suck at it.

  • wtf are you talking about you have never played me asshole

  • Post a good video and we will see.

  • now don't get snobby bond, and kapr1sun, don't think you re the only one who can 58 this song.

not saying I can, I cant play the beginning, but the rest is good, on expert.

But what i am trying to say is, don't put people down because you can play guitar hero good, its just a game.

    Btw, nice char =0

  • 5* song, typo

and btw, is this a new food?------------v

GH3 really lets you get lucky with ->fingerspam.

  • bond started this whole thing on a different video talking about how the guy was bad and how bond could do all of these crazy solos on the GH1 engine easily. I know I'm not the only one that can 5* it? bond just needs to know he is a douchebag.

  • ok =)

  • of what song and not ttfaf or the way it ends

  • I read your msg before the comment, I gave you another choice in there.

  • this is excactly the same as the gh3 chart

  • Which it is supposed to be :P

    "Replica"

  • there are ways this is easier in GH2 and harder in GH2, the if the notes are inside the BPM line its hammer on, but the hit window is shorter

  • You've almost got the concept of the window, but you are wrong about HO/PO. GH3 doesn't have a window, so yes, the GH2 window is smaller :P

In GH3 if you are holding the fret, when the HO crosses, it hits it, regardless of how early you pressed it, as long as you hit the note before it.

  • I went over the limit:

In GH2, different songs have different HO/PO thresholds (which notes are HOs and not). Yes, it does have to do with BPM, slightly. Most songs, anything under 8th notes (each BPM line is an 8th note), but some songs have even 8th notes HO/PO. Arterial black for example can have notes spaced out on the lines and it will still be a HO/PO. You can edit these thresholds in DTB editing.

  • sweet... add about 200k and thats prlly ur GH3 score

  • 300k

  • NOW i realize how hard this song really is

  • It's not really hard ...

  • it looks hard in GH2

  • It's harder :P.

Well I guess it would be hard for your average GH player.

  • i would consider me avergage i guess, considering i can only 4* this song in GH3

  • That's much better than average.

  • ok im right between average and great then i guess haha

  • u are a fag

  • I think I realize that's the reason why songs like this are not in Guitar Hero 2 - the timing is tighter, thus making it nearly impossible without at least months of practice (unless you're the creator of the chart and know the ins and outs of the engine, as seen here). Jordan in Guitar Hero 2 is comprised of many HOPOs so it's playable on the GH2 engine, but since this song simply is not fast enough for the engine to put in the HOPOs, strumming needs to be *exact*. So they take advantage.

  • Not really. I don't get what you are trying to say in the second half, but GH3 really doesn't have a timing window for consecutive strumming.

Jordan could be done on GH3, but it would be a little harder because it doesn't hit the note with you tap the HO, it hits the note when the note crosses the middle of the fret.

Try rephrasing it a bit, or expanding on your idea, I could clarify.

  • Since you seem to understand what I said in the first half of my comment, I'll explain the second half in better detail. YT comments have limits now. :(

What I was trying to get at was that songs like this were simply not considered for GH2 because you would have to be exact in timing. Neversoft knows perfectly well that they made the game easier in one way, and that was the timing window in which a note could be hit. Harmonix, on the other hand, is the complete opposite.

  • Neversoft just did a bad job. There really isn't a timing window at all. If you are holding the fret and the HO crosses, you hit it.

    Do this:

Go to Practice, Expert, Holiday in Cambodia, Reverberatin (the section).

Play threw it and figure out what notes come in order.

Hit the sustain and let go of the button. Hold the next button for the next sustain that is a HO.

When it crosses it should hit it for you.

    Retarded.

  • Do you still play GH3 at all for fun? I do like to play the game because the songs are fun to play...

  • The songs are terribly charted and the engine is trash. My LP also has terrible TERRIBLE buttons.

I threw it away already but my brother dug it out of the dumpster outside.

I don't get how people find the game fun unless they started out on GH3, and don't know what a Good GH game feels like.

  • Sorry for taking over a month to respond. For your information, I DID start on Guitar Hero 3, and played the original Guitar Hero games following that purchase. I like them all.

Your LP just has problems.. some of them are bad. At least they don't have that ghastly whammy bar problem that the SGs have, or the complete lack of quality in Xplorers.

  • Yes, some LPs have problems. I have played on many less pauls for the 360, they all seem to have the same problem: The buttons all feel like they are pressing against paper to have them pushed back out, and not rubber. The whammybar for the SG is superb, I don't see what is so ghastly about it. But yea, xplorers blow.

  • Some SG whammy bars decide to just... crap out. Rubber band is the fix for that, but still.

  • And finally, one last suggestion - you should attempt to use the audio in GH3 for a better feel. The guitar and band tracks are separated, so when you miss a note you'll actually hear it. That's really the only problem I have with customs.

  • awesome replica! :D But there are hammer-ons and pulloff notes in places that they aren't in GH3

  • You can't choose where to place Hammerons and Pulloffs in GH2. It generates it by the threshold set by the game. Some songs 8th notes are hos, and farther apart and it isn't.

  • ohhhhhhh ok thanks :)

  • you beat my gh3 score on that song O_o

  • lol kinda sad =P

  • u r really good i could never beat this

  • Why didn't you just download the Frets on Fire Rips? They have the master tracks and have the exact note charts.

  • That would be illegal.

  • thanks for the sarcasm

  • It wasn't sarcastic. At all. I was making a replica.

  • this is almost excactly the gh3 version

  • That's what I was going for.

  • i give thumbs up you did a decent job better then i would do i failed at 87% i think it was.. but other then that yeaa nice playing dude.. and i just wish i could get the gh2 engine with gh3 graphics id destroy the song then

  • The song is harder. You would not destroy it :P.

  • Wow!

This is really good playing here I can imagine just how hard it is to hold combo on GH2 but you still do! I wish I was this good

    You already 5* it on GH3 I suppose? ^^

    Anyway, again awsome playing ^^.

  • Thanks.

  • awesome your pretty good man it would probably be easier for you in gh3

  • It is :P

  • wow. looks exactly the same. except for that part u mentioned

  • why did u post this u stingk

  • Lets see you do it hotshot. I just 5*d it on GH3. faggot suck dick

  • oh shit! man, u r good! i personally think TTFAF is harder on gh2 bc when u hit a note, the little fire thing goes away faster in gh2 than in gh3. damn...ur good. better than me. i can barely get past teh solo. i always save my start power for those parts. :D u rarely had to use it. nj

  • Thanks

  • the you rock part is a lottle long, plus some other stuff but niceley done

  • That's just my audio file, the version I got goes on longer. You may have noticed some missing sustains, that's not my fault. They are in there on the chart. D:

  • wow

it is so different in GH2

    cool video

    thanks for posting

  • I think these people must have been deprived of oxygen as little babies. GH2 is infact harder than GH3 because of the HO-PO system and the fast speed note matching. I think you guys are thinking about the charts themselves... Neversofts (The retards) charts are harder than Harmonix but if you put the NS ones on GH2 it would in fact be a lot harder and take more skill.

And I just bwned you all!!!

    GH2>GH3

  • Neversoft overcharts the @($! out of their charts. 4 note chords, triplechord powerchords, wtf.

  • Plus they'll give you a big HO-PO line and one magically turns not glowy and it screws me up. Plus alot of their notes are too close together, i.e. Lay Down.
