the waterproof box does the job but i think hpi could have done a better job with opening it, i mean if u were in a race and the reciver broke you would have to spend about 2min are more changing it but for the old non waterproof recive box it would take a minite
@jthornley12 lucky man !!! whats your fave car /buggy for outdoor bashing haven driven so many >? ANd how long after a new engine after having it rich can you lean it out a little ?? After 10 or so tanks or more??
@getsbent Hmm it's gotta be the Barbarian NXl or Trooper ;) both of those I couldn't recommend more. Not that many mate, just 2 tanks or so and you can lean it out properly
No need for the foil. When breaking in, the engine of the car will be at the hottest temperature possible. The foil is actually dangerous because it WILL overheat and this could lead to really serious problems if your engine was just a tiny bit flooded for example.
@TheMrSam2010 It's called heat cycling. Getting the engine up to around 190degrees F, to ensure that a good fit is made with internal parts. If it's cold outside, then there's no chance of the engine reaching such temperature at idle. By using foil or a sock as mentioned as below, the engine is at a great temp for break in.
@soverato3 You dont know what your talking about pal!
Its a 1/8 scale race buggy .....Many people well over the age of 40 race these on a weekly basis. I run a a kx-450 motor cross bike and still use rc cars and helis.
@soverato3 i could say that r/c cars are for faggots and that even 1/5 scale dont even come close to the thrill of motorcross but i would be worng cos i do both including driving the childish 1/10 scales and i get just as much of a kick so mate, you dont know what you're talking about :)
hey just would like to ask you a question my dad just bought me my first ever nitro rc car and it a hpi nitro rush evo do u think thats ok for it being my first car and will i be able to handle it plz pm me with a answer thanks
@brumbrine Try to stick with the same brand that you started with, but it does no harm to engine if you change. engine will probably just need re-tuning.
I have question, can you tell which clear body would fit on this car?
Im going to start racing and i don't want to be the guy with the stock body.
Can you please tell which would fit on it?
Thanks, please answer.

@TheLukei I couldn't agree more. 4 screws to open a receiver box is too much, especially like you say if you wanted to do it quickly :)

man when i drive it in the snow should i cover the heatsink with a foil?
simios1234 2 months ago
@simios1234 Yes it's a good idea to do that. just don't fry your engine mate. check the temperatures often when doing this.

Whats the recommended air temprature in the breka inn periode?
MrEvenSolberg 2 months ago
@MrEvenSolberg Well I use foil or socks over the engine if the outside temp is below 6 degrees C.
jthornley12 2 months ago
It is still a great car...
I have an Ansmann Virus 2.0, and, with no throttle at all (even braking) the car goes...
Is it the low speed needle?

@TheMrSam2010 You do need the foil or a sock for a proper winter break in especially in the uk .
