@poundsand - Econ 101 teaches us that the basic standard for measuring the economy; GDP (or Gross Domestic Product) = Investment + Consumer Spending + (Exports-Imports) + Government Spending...by cutting taxes they would essentially just trade G Spending to C Spending (assuming the consumer spent it all and didn't save it in a bank where 90% would be invested but 10% would be temporarily "lost" in savings). What would really boost the treasury is cutting the massive military budget.

Cut taxes, federal regulations, cut governmental spending and government substantially, get government out of healthcare, reduce entitlements, because we can't afford them, open up onshore drilling where it favorable, so we don't have to drill miles deep in the ocean, for congress to live by all the laws they pass such as having SS as their retirement instead of their private plan and same with their health insurance. Pretty simple.

@poundsand The Founding Fathers were also mostly Federalists: Adams, Washington, Hamilton, they also preached Neutrality in Foreign Relations, something the Res Publican party is not about. Interestingly; the word and powers of Dictator and Republican result from the same language, Latin. That's also a contradiction saying you support the Constitution and are against Governmental control: as the Constitution puts the majority of power in Federal hands.
