the springfield was based off the mauser system but its not like anyone ripped the germans off the licensed the design, they realized they had a good thing and wanted to make some money off it.

the springfield was made in 1892, your thinking of the 03 model, an update of the previous. if anything your 98k was based of the springfield, but i wont say that because ur superiority complex will come into effect...

The 1903 Springfield was based off of the German Mauser. In 1917, while the United States was at War with Germany, The Mauser Manufacturing company sued the United Stated in the patient court and won. The British Enfield was also based off the German Mauser. Same with the Japanese Aresiteka 99.

Hence all Modern Bolt action Rifles are the grandchildren of the German Mauser.

The persian mausers where actually manufactured by the Czech's in 1930 and 1949... the one he appears to be firing is the 1930 carbine model.
