if needed you could buy a 4x12 box instead of always just having the 1x10....and its more portable if youre recording in some studio where they have a high end PA. and it looks cooler :D

and of couse you could move the two boxes around your room to get a stereo sound ;)

@guitarkidification If you have multiple speakers in your setup, your sound will be different when you are not exactly as far away from both speakers due to the speed of sound creating a phase shift. Also, a setup with two speakers will give you one plain on which the volume is double. (the plain which is equally far from both speakers). Example: I bought a Peavey ValveKing 212 (2 12inch speakers - a logic number actually), which gives this unwanted plain. I should have bought the 112 version.

Hey, I wanted to know if the HT-5 stack is loud enough to keep up with a drummer? I want to use the amp for homerecording and home practice use, but sometimes I tend to play with a drummer. Are the 2 speaker loud enough to play with drummer?

@Reapflex Indeed. Though, I find that its tone is not that bad. It's ok for the type of stuff I play, but not good for anything else. A Heavy Metal tone for example. So if anyone would want effects such as reverb persay, on an amp that didn't have it programed such as this... it would be best to buy effect pedals for it?

@Bobby59 you can use it with other cabinets if you dont like the speaker in the combo........ you could also just switch out the speakers in a combo...

Just had a play around with one at a local shop today and have to say its the best small valve amp ive tried. Its ok through the single 10" cab the half stack comes with but sounds amazing through a 2x12. it gives a really ballsy tone. ill order mine tmorra ;0)

is just adevertising for the music store in germany where they sell it,.. just talks about the specs and controls of the amp, just begginers rubish,,,, but never mention he is using effects the amp doesn't have,... i have the amp and sounds great, i also use it with a Ibanez tube screamer TS808HW wich give me more possibilities but i really like the gain channel by itself, actually has volume and 3-band eq and a "character" pot from british to american sound

If you're playing clean, then you can run delay/reverb/etc before the amp. If you're using the amp's distortion, then in the effects loop.

What makes this amplifier so good apart from that it's a valve amplifier, it has 2 channels, an FX Loop etc. is that it's so versatile and it sounds extremely good at low volumes. You don't have to push it so much to get a reasonable tone.

Eine ECC83 in der Vorstufe und eine 12BH7 in der Endstufe. Mich würde eher interessieren, ob man den Cleankanal zum übersteuern bringt wenn man Volume raufdreht.
