  • This is honestly the best 3 minutes of television.

  • @Gloomshrub Agreed... It didn't get better than this...

  • call me, please.

  • i had such a craving for hardboiled eggs go to kitchen no eggs to be found

    pure sadness...

  • the worst part is, Ed has next to no chance of even finding her father out there, and whilst she can survive on her own, Ein might go neglected, or distract her from finding food. Chances are, Ed and Ein just sent themselves off to starve or be alone forever.

...Then again, that dog is just made for Ed, so at least they'll be happy.

  • @FailcopterWes lol Ed is a genius computer hacker she will be alright.

  • I think it was for the best. I didn't want to see them experience Spike death and I think we all agree with that a little. I wish this wouldn’t have happen moreover they continue to create new episodes, but everything have to come to a screaming halt, and it was just Ed and Ein time to end. Yet, at least they have each other in the end.

  • Best series ever.

  • 名シーン・・・泣けてくる・・・

    この二人(一匹)がいなかったら、ビバップはもっと味気ない作品になっていたと思う。

  • Yep, still makes me cry. Amazing! Bebop was one of a kind.

  • Such a great show, looking back on it when you're older really shows you just how great this show is, you already know it's amazing, possibly my favorite anime, but these hidden facts, or facts that we don't take into account upon first viewing , really show you how beautiful the show/manga is. =')

I recently downloaded the ost and wanted to know what scene this song was played in, so sad, yet I love it. =)

  • This scenes is one of the most powerful ones ive seen in any anime.

    Its was just perfect.

  • cried my eyes out on this song

  • SEE YOU COWGIRL,

SOMEDAY, SOMWHERE! I can't help sheding tears everytime I see this...

  • just love it , grt song ........

  • I think this part hints of the ending that is coming. Ed and Eni were sort of the comedy relief in this series the fact you see them leaving hints of the serious nature of the things to come.

  • when you're not in a good mood, please don't listen to this song. it really hurts

  • Soooooo beautiful!!! ;_____________;

  • I have to say, I found this Mutch sadder than the Death of Spike, okey, I am also sad on that Scene, but here we see how Ed leave the Show, and she was the best charakter at this. I now, she was fine and her life go one, but the fact, that this was her last scene we saw her, and I thought, we see her in the final episodes, Jesus, this fact makes me crying

  • sigh, 1:18

a picture really can say a thousand words

  • This is a very powerful scene. No dialogue at all. The only one who's talked to is Ein, the dog, who can't answer, and Spike, who's put his shell again to face his loneliness. Everything happens in silence, in gestures, all of that which underlines the fact that roads sometimes diverge. This scene, and the way it is displayed, competes with some of the most excellent movies.

  • by far my favorite show ever. i miss it

  • Very nice scene, but ur wrong jonnyboy they do eat all the eggs.

  • 0:41 ...and then, I got goosebumps.

  • Another thing I will add is look at Eins turn back to the bebop, thinking "should I stay?" they are a family, in that the got brought together and though no-one would ever admit it they did care about each other. Part of Ein doesn't want to leave

  • This is when Bebop ripped my heart out and I knew it was not going to be a happy ending. I just love how Spike, Jet, Faye, Ed and Ein are a family but they dont realise it, They care about each other though none would ever admit it. Notice how Spike and Jet dont even speak when eating the eggs. How Spikes stares at the "bye bye" message. If you actually look closer, Spike and Jet dont even touch Ed and Eins food, which they have still put out for them. An amazing moment from an amazing series

  • @JohnnyBoyUK85 2:19 spike grabs a few eggs from the plate next to his (Ed or Faye's?) and Jet follows suit shortly after. But I do agree with everything else you said about them never admitting they cared about each other and such. But I think they all do that because they have all lost someone or something important to them, and admitting they care about someone else is opening themselves to the possibility of pain of loss again. Family AND brothers/sisters in arms...doomed from the start..

  • man, this scene....this fucking scene... :'(

  • This music could make me cry if i can not resist.

  • best anime ever... best vid ever...

  • Faye's face at 00:01 -> when you realize life sucks

  • does ed come bak?

  • this reminds of the last part of samuri champloo...D:...but its probly best for them its was only a matter of time for them to go there on ways :D im gald they did it then!i will miss ed D:

  • i like the voice they did for edd it sounds a lot better then the dubs :D

  • Very Very epic ty for posting this best song and scene ever!!!

  • I played this when i was reading FMA and now i associate this song with Mustangs cries to the Lieutenant, as she bleeds out :'(

  • this..is truely a wonderful song..and i will..make it one of my thinking songs

  • See you cowgirl, someday, somewhere!

  • I want to put soy sauce on those eggs.

  • now they have to eat every ones eggs ...there gona get sick XD

  • I just love this song ^^

  • My favorite part was just the part where Spike and Jet sit on their couch gorging on hard-boiled eggs, finally just by themselves for the first time in forever...

  • @SickBritKid Funny, I read it totally differently. They set out four bowls, I think they were waiting for the girls to come back. When it looks like that won't happen, without a word, they just start in on the eggs rather than waste them. But neither of them looks happy, there's an air of resignation and sadness. But then again, neither one wants to be the one to say what they're both thinking- despite all the complaining, they'll miss their friends.

  • @SickBritKid It reminds me a lot of Jet's story in Ganymede Elegy *Spoilers for that episode* - Just like Jet deciding not to move on until the watch stopped, here it almost seems like they refuse to believe it at first, and set up one last "test"- setting places for the "full crew" and waiting to see if they show up. When they don't, it's like it's finally hit home that it's not one of Ed's jokes, they really aren't coming back.

  • @beboptube If you read my interpretation of the song from an earlier post, then you'd know how I PERSONALLY, made the leap to Ed rejoining her father. It doesn't mean it's what happened, it's just one interpretation. This song is about finding where you belong. And as I said earlier, it's clear that Faye has finally realized in this scene that Spike and Jet are her TRUE family. On the other hand, Ed feels that she DOESN'T belong. Both characters have revelations that are the polar opposite.

  • Two warriors gone D: ( In the end of the video you see two stars fall) I sob everytime I see "Bye Bye" written on the floor D;

    Love Bebop <3

  • I demand a spin off entitled "Radical Edward" >=(

  • Ito, Ein

  • I was reading back through the comments here, and so many posted that they thought Ed had gone to join her father. I didn't see that. I thought she'd just struck out on her own once again.

  • I cry a river always that I watch... one of the most perfect videos ever! *-*

  • @MrsJolie88 Absolutely devastating every time.

  • I know most die hard CB fans will disagree, but I would like it if Shinichiro Watanabe started another series where it shows Ed's (and Ein's) life after she departed the Bebop, in real time 13-15 years later (since the original series aired in 1998).

  • @PHILLYHEAT215 That'd be awesome though Ein might not be around anymore, I was actually thinking that when I was watching this episode "I wonder what happened to Ed.." and, I thought of this anime:

    watch?v=SYz5EqVTcWY&feature=related

  • first anime scene that ever made me cry :)

  • The Seatbelts are awesome.

  • i'm not really an anime fan per se but i love bebop and it's for episodes like this

  • At this moment you can feel the end of this amazing series... its like the last bright flash of light before the flame goes out.

Ed and Ein are leaving Bibop seeking for new adventures.

Fayne has got her memories back... she will never be the same careless woman again.

Jet and Spike are alone with four plates and one dog bowl... Two tough bounty hunters trying to oppose their sadness with food.

    a very powerful scene...

  • @polos86 is this really the last ep i just saw it on adult swim tonight like 9 minutes ago

  • @Animehem - No.. Its not the last session - there are 26 of them and this one is number 24

  • @Animehem

No, but this is the beginning of the end, so to speak. Polo's analogy captures this scene so perfectly.

  • @polos86 Spoke my words. I felt the same about it when I saw it first

  • @polos86 the last 3 sessions of the series made me cry, specially this scene and the one in RFB2 when faye points spike with the gun before leaving the bebop

  • Why does this video have to be spammed by two whiney manchildren argueing about nothing important? On another note, this was such a well done scene.

  • very sad music it was one of the last episode of cowboy bebop

  • This part and possibly Waltz for Venus ending are the saddest. That's the power of Cowboy Bebop

  • Every time I see Ed's 'Bye Bye' it breaks my heart all over again.

  • After all the times I've watched this, this is the first time I've noticed. They taped Ed's fan to the top of the Bebop. :')

  • @dl12whryb It's her old house, she's lying down in what was her room...

  • Every time I eat hardboiled eggs, I get sad..... :,(

  • i love cowboy bebop first time i saw this on adult swim i was 14 and heard this song it reallly touched me im 23 now and i still have this beautiful song on my mp3 best anime ever

  • Pretty sure this is the only thing alot of us guys have seen and actually made them cry like a little girl.

  • @beanhouse55 ahh how cute you know how to cuss. its so addorable come on little man wheres the A material?

  • @straightpimpin888 youre mad at your dad arent you

  • @beanhouse55 Oh you know it man Im even mad at my mom. Now how is your relationship with your parents? were you abused as a child young man? were you touched in your private areas by your father or mother? and if so, did it emotionally disturb you or did you go back and beg for more?

  • @straightpimpin888 go back to hot topic clam pickler

  • @beanhouse55 Somebody has issues with his parents its ok man we all do but dont worry I'll go to hot topic and enjoy myself.

  • @straightpimpin888 you can't keep using the parents thing when i'm the one who started it. you gotta use your imagination. i'll let you come up with something new, and that doesn't mean run with the hot topic thing either

  • @beanhouse55 lol I tell you what!

  • @straightpimpin888 and....scene

  • @mudkipcorp idk, the song green fields of france makes my eyes a little blurry

  • almost cried in the episode 24 when ed and ein had to leave bebop :(

  • I originally thought that this was the last episode because of this song... You can't imagine my surprise when I discovered there was an episode 25...

  • That many hard-boiled eggs can't be healthy for you...

  • Does anyone HONESTLY think Ed is gone forever? Really? She seems like the kind of girl who would return at some point. Maybe not forever, or even very long, but she would.

  • i cry each & every time i see the end & when ever i hear this song

  • I'm a guy and i cried my eyes out on this part.

  • I cried. Like a little bitch.

  • Same here.

  • Spike: one of a very few men who can have a Jewish Afro, and still be kickass.

  • The only scene in Bebop that made me cry. The music is really beautiful too.

  • you can die eating that much eggs

  • Yep. Still makes me cry. >__<

  • See You In Space Cow Girl... Yeah I teared up...

  • @parsecification Oh so did I. I cried like a little girl.

  • Steve Conte Rules...!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cowboy Bebop isn't an anime it is poetry set in motion!

  • You know what Ive always wondered? ... Where in the hell is She going?!

  • @MultiMrsmiley she's going back with her dad or just back on her own again like when before she met them i guess

  • @Mayasune1 OH Ok thanks! :D

  • @Mayasune1 I notice she seems pretty serious in her conversation with Ein--not laughing. I think she kind of grew up a little bit in her tenure. I have it she'll be on her own but not in a lost kind of way like she was before. Unbelievably good episode.

  • I've seen this episode a million times and it get's me every time I watch it. So sad. They couldn't have picked a better way to end the series in the final three episodes. Cowboy bebop will always be one of my all-time favs.

  • Its a good thing Ed left in this episode, 'cause after she leaves everything goes to shit!

  • This is one of those scenes that just gives you the strangest feeling in your heart.

  • I always wondered who sang this song... does anyone know who sings this song? I always loved Cowboy bebop, this song really touches my heart.

  • @David012186 Steve Conte :D

  • see you cowgirl! someday, somewhere! .... it´s so sad!

  • Gah, I favorited this but I can't watch it much, because it makes me extremely sad.

  • Interesting that they chose to use the Japanese, because Bebop is about the only series that the English Dub is far superior...even Shinichiro Watanabe prefers the English Dub!

  • @TheCFKane1982

german dub is superior to japanese aswell :)

  • @TheCFKane1982 the latin spanish dub is awesome too :P

  • @TheCFKane1982

    Does he speak English?

  • It's really hard to describe in words my emotion when i first watched this scene when i was younger. Watching it now has the same effect even after 9 years of time passing by.

  • You captured the emotion so well, I got a litte misty there, you made an amv to be really proud of for a truly unique anime, thanks for sharing it =)

  • Cowboy Bebop is one of the few anime series (I've seen...) where the dubbed version was just as good as the original.

  • In like 50 or 60 years, I'm gonna watch bebop with my grandkids. In Virtual Reality helmets. AND IT WILL BE AMAZING!

  • Someday, long after I'm gone, 40 or 50 years from now, some one will continue the legend that is Cowboy Bebop and get the whole gang together again.

  • Been watchin this show since '01 and it still hasn't gotten old. Just got a corgi yesterday, long overdue.

  • what i find most sad about this is that thats the last time ed see's spike alive, whatever happened afterwards this was the beginning of the end for the bebop, see you space cowboy :)

  • I remember watching this episode when I was 13, I'm 21 now.

It made quite an impact on me, even to this day

  • Just saw this for the first time and damn, i really felt sad watching this scene: Ed might not have been my favorite character, well, it just doesn't feel the same without her around,Y'know? And don't even get me started on Faye, yikes this was depressing to see. I'm a guy, and i admit while i didn't cry, this was hard for me to watch: It's like..well, like a family splitting up. That's really the only analogy i can think of to describe this. So..see you space cowgirl, someday somewhere

  • @infernai Nicely put my friend :)

  • @infernai

That to me what was so great about Cowboy. Nobody really was a fan of Ed, but the fact that she left in such a sad and amazing scene made you realize that maybe you cared something for her after all. Kind of like how Spike was feeling when she left.

  • love it

  • This scene is just... holy omething,,

It's been such a long time in which I seriously cried with something like this, the whole situation feel so moofing real... it rips your heart... Cowboy Bebop will always be the greatest series in existence <3

  • I wasn't the only one that cried here, right? RIGHT?!?

  • @sduifdslt56 You sure weren't the only one ;_;

  • @sduifdslt56

No dude, Not the only one.

  • @sduifdslt56 no you wasn't. :)

  • @sduifdslt56 nah bro. nah. i did too.

  • Was and will always be my favorite anime of all time. It's kind of ironic how the first anime I've ever watched turned out to be my #1 favorite. Great story, great music, simply legend to describe. = )

Thanks for posting this scene, this was one of many great scenes from the show.

  • This scene makes me feel so empty everytime I watch it, equivelent to a losing close friend, family member or partner.

  • Ito Ain!

  • One of the best animes!

  • its sad, but its life, at some point we all have to go our way :( see you cowgirl, someday, somewhere!

  • It still makes me cry D:

  • someday... we'll all need to separate. be it walking away or going back to the past to see if we were simply dreaming at all

    See you, space youtubers

  • That's emotional eating right there lol.

  • So sad, so beautifull

Even the details. like the eggs in Ein's bowl...

    Best anime ever!

  • I'm a guy also and everytime I see this scene with the song its like MUST.....NOT......CRY......BAAAAAAWWWWW

  • jaaaaaaaaaaa !!

  • The best

  • Man, every damn time I watched this episode. Every time I watch this video. A part of me gets my hopes up into thinking Ed is gonna go back.

  • this part always gets to me...then i chuckle when i see jet and spike attacking those eggs like there's no tomorrow

  • haix..damn i never watched this anime before n the past 2 days i finish watching it...now i know why it was this anime won an award... man the ending was totaly heart breaking

  • My son cannot talk, but every time this song comes on, he tries his best to sing along with it. Amazing song, amazing anime.

  • It's really sad!!!!

  • im a guy and...snff even im balling my eyes out!!!!!! because its like losing a very close family member!!!!!! SNFF mememmm WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY AH :( UGHha ughha (more crying)......

  • this song and episode gets me every time!

  • This makes the 'fading star' more touching for me... I mean...

that's the last time she ever saw... you know... (don't want to spoil anything for people who don't know).

Even if she and Ein ever see the Bebop again...

  • I love the way Ein looks back at 0:38 - just that little gesture makes him seem so human...

  • 865 internet users like this video. 13 don't. okay.

  • This was even more saddening than the ending.

  • cowboy bebop and wolfs rain both have the best sound tracks because of Steve Conte and Yoko Kanno

  • so beautiful. the greatest ending ever. so much emotion.

  • The first time that I ever saw the final episodes on it's first run on [adult swim] I got that sick feeling when you are talking to someone that you love and realize you're seeing them for the last time. This is the only series that I actually gave a damn about the characters. The story, expressions, and music made Cowboy Beebop into a series that others are compared to and that none can ever measure up. YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.

  • @Nomed38 You should check out Wolf's Rain

  • @Nomed38 speak the truth brother

  • @Nomed38 Yeah I felt like I got punched in the gut.

  • See you cowgirl, someday, somewhere!!

  • See you cowgirl

  • Spike is so hot

  • D; i Love cowboy bebop

  • One of the most touching moments in anime. Also one of the best songs ever. Not just in Cowboy or anime but in music as a whole. Period. I still get the urge every now and then to watch the last three or four episodes of this series. Quite possibly the best ending to an anime series ever.

  • When I first saw this episode, I had that knot in my stomach. This was the sign that everything was beginning to end. I had seen almost all of the episodes there were to see. The same feeling returned in the last episode when "The Real Folk Blues" came on. There are just those songs that can tell you it's the end without saying so. The ones that if you heard them anywhere else before Cowboy Bebop, they would be simply songs. Nothing more. Long Live Bebop.

  • Quick question: does Japanese anime usually use American music in their anime or is this an exception? I think this clip is so beautiful!
