@BongaFish If you all look at the, now, Official timeline of Legend of Zelda by Hyrule Historia, licensed by Nintendo and edited by Eiji Aunouma, 4 Swords Adventure takes place after Twilight Princess. Wind Waker is in another split of the timeline.In actuality, there are 3 splits after Ocarina of Time; the Child Timeline, the Adult Tineline, and the What If/Failure Timeline.

Even still, I imagine little thought went into the timeline at all except to please the pleading crowd. I don't think Nintendo really takes into consideration at what time a Zelda game takes place while they're creating it...except Skyward Sword, of course. And I suppose now they'll start thinking about it more so now.

By the way, wouldn't 4 Swords be the Child Timeline and TP, the Adult?

@BongaFish The Child Timeline is Link going back to the past (not to play the shitty games that suck ass) to relieve his childhood, causing Majora's Mask and later on Twilight Princess. 4 Swords, the original, takes place after SS and before Minish Cap and OoT. The sequel 4 Swords, 4 Swords Adventure take place after TP, where Ganon and Vaati are both revived. The Adult Timeline takes place when Link isn't there to stop Ganon and the Gods from flooding Hyrule; leading to Wind Waker.

Then in FSA the narrator says "Vaati returned kidnapped Zelda and Link defeated him", referring the events of FS, but here it's the same Link: it says his name, it doesn't say "An ancient hero" like all other episodes in the series do while referring to another Link. Also Zelda and Link behaviour in the beginning lead to the same conclusion.

@KombatGod I also assumed that FSA was a direct sequel to FS, but Nintendo owns the franchise, not Capcom, and Nintendo controls the timeline. If they want FSA to take place after TP, then it takes place after TP, logic and the opinions of fans be damned - not that it makes much sense to me, either: the only thing that makes sense is the "Ganon is reborn" that was foreshadowed in TP. But then again, they can always rearrange it later.

@veteranofsmashbros: the only reason i don't like olimar in brawl was that he was inaccurate when he threw his pikmin and that his final smash was a failure compared to others. it's just that his final smash was made super powerful and effective to overcompensate for his puny stature and ineffective attack style. just my opinion.

@hellblademaker Ehhh? His final smash is one of the most easily avoidable. If you're not trapped under something like in Hyrule Castle, or have a crappy third jump like Yoshi and the PK Kids, it's pretty easy to avoid with a few well timed jumps.

landmaster isn't broke on big stages but it is on small ones like FD, battlefield, WWINC, and so forth. It isn't nowhere near as broke as sonics that can frigging 2hit you by spamming one button.

Sonic's final smash is probably one of the best in the game, but I don't believe it breaks him either, seeing as he lacks any decent KO moves without it. Either way, it's not like anyone is forcing you to play with tournament rules.

Midna (original) would be such an awesome character in the next SS. Following the same principle as Zelda, her teleport would be a shadow like replacement. Her fire would be altered to the giant shadow hand. Her standard special would be a magic, mirror like counter. And down + B would make her create a brief portal appear which would make a character teleport randomly on the map or on the other side of her.
