Good fun match, Slowbro definitely did his job well here. Funny to see scarfed Heatran & special Lucario, been messing around with specs myself but even with Modest it really falls flat on its ass in terms of damage if the move ain't super effective. For Lucario, it's speed & the plethora of opposing priority really cut his potential short delegating it more to a clean-up sweep. Nevertheless, great to see em in action! :) Keep up the good video's!
About the lucario, he actually makes a decent scarfer as well... mostly outclassed and performs better as setup but has a bit of a surprise value to it. Question, lucario gets dark pulse, right? So why the shadow ball? Does practically the same job but the flinch chance is better than a spec def drop. just curious...
@TheDevicer Scarf seems the oddest Choice item, because Lucario thrives on have powerful priority anyway. Yes, the Scarf let's you come in on a faster threat and beat it, but a smart opponent should see that coming (unless the unboosted hit will KO, which defeats the purpose of the Scarf anyway). As for Shadow Ball, if you use it when they might switch (and thus NP is dangerous), the SpDef drop could net you a 2HKO. Additionally, the Musketeers love Dark Pulse.
Why would you assume his mienshao is scarfed at the beginning? I know they're more common than banded ones, but the weasel is more than capable of running a band. Looking at the team, possible scarfers include hax, scizor, and (derp!) mienshao. I know I'd think she'd be scarfed as well, just cuz scizor and hax both pull off the band better, but I just want to hear your thoughts.
@TheDevicer I didn't, I thought he was LO. Either way his strongest hit on me was U-Turn, so even if he was Banded he couldn't 2HKO me and I could switch out to get Regenerator if he went into anything too threatening. In the end it just wasn't enough damage to be anything but Scarf.
