i want to dedicate this song to the man who can open my heart again, but i havent found him yet. sending love to everyone who get's the feeling i have deep inside when i hear this song.
Loverboy is my favorite band of the 80s. Have all their cd's. Was a teenager and lived most of their songs growing up. Thanks for sharing. This could be the night.
Time had taken its toll on billy wray, trixter's bassist, now falling into the backseat of a white, stretch limousine, parked behind the backdoors of the club.
@pstallion69 well,I guess the deadbeats born in the eighties had nothing to show, Those of us who called the eighties their generation were born in the sixties. I'm a 65'er, making me 15 in 1980, and able to see the whole decade unfold before me. What a great time!
this was my ex-husbands and my song when it was on the radio. even though we are divorced we are still friends and i wish him the best.heres to 2 you dave if you ever see this message
ahh...back in the day...when we had to go to the pay phone to talk and we actually had to leave the house to get in touch with someone. technology is the end of stuff like this....my generation was the last to have it like this. sad for ya~
Was the night then night that ended all other nights? I would ask him if I had the chance......this song reminds me of the only woman that I ever loved......
@lifemisspent the video was shot in Vancouver. The guys were on MTV saying that they were glad they got to shoot that one in Vancouver because they got to sleep in their own beds that night.
Well, that wasn't quite my case. I've loved one woman but life always put me "on the run" with different women when I was in the military. I was beset with new romantic interests, but I stayed true and waited for this one woman.
She has been engaged and remains married to this day. I truly loved you, Bennett. >:' )
yellowbird me too only not only did i drink at 16 i smoked pot too lol good ol days too huh problem is tho i wasnt 16 when this song wa smade tho but much younger but it does bring back a ton of memories
@robfergusonjr - You too!!!!! I remember drinking beer and thinking of some crush I had on someone @ 16 years of age in high school. I miss those days really bad :(
Just close your eyes, and you'll be back in time, with your friends that were left behind and with your memories who are always there when you need them.
I 've been always stick with such a songs like that, I need those times and missed them .... more and more everyday. This song is perfect when i'm in a loving kind of mood. we can hardly find better songs in fact ;
@milmill48 Thought I was the only one who thinks of his rail while on tour to this, I was 19 in in 1986 and my ride was a 69 pontiac laurentien 350 2 speed "slip slide tranny" 140 MPH Top end, and lay out the rubber pretty good on bottom end as well. Great days of rock, beer tours, and great grass and affordable fines lol!
Mi querido leon...no se, al igual que tu, cuanto nos podra durar este sentimiento...pero sin dudas, our true emotions will make it last forever...I may never tell you, but you will never leave my life, no matter how far away we may be...whatever life and destiny says, I'm yours forever...and I hope you never forget me either...TiernecitaXOXOX
@meanbeats Actually, Mutt wrote the title cut ('Lovin...'). Tom Allom (Judas Priest, Def Leppard) produced the album. There's also an interesting who's-who in the liner credits: Jaime St. James and Tommy Thayer, then of Black and Blue (Thayer currently of KISS) sing background vocals. Bill Wray, who produced Trixter's debut, has songwriting credits on the disc.
...but there is a huge Mutt Lange influence on here. If Lange presented the song first, that would explain the work ethic.
hey wtrackerman dont give up i was in a bad marriage and 3 months ago i found the love of my life, we first met as kids and reciently reconnected and are planning our reunion on New Years eve a night to remember. I just want to say Anne you are my best friend and I love you so much.
Esta pudo ser la noche, la noche para recordar... hazlo durar para siempre, esta pudo ser la noche, oh el final de todas las noches.... que linda canción.... compositores así dificilmente se encuentran en estos tiempos...
What's the matter PMH, Brittney Spears is not returning your calls? You're such a bitter person. You've been flagged and your profile is going to be removed, so shut the fuck up and go back to jacking off to your Spears' posters in your basement bedroom!!!
The line where he says, "...you found what was locked up inside of me...." is what did it for me when I had a girlfriend that I had been looking for all my life walked into my life. Too bad, and very sad I was already married to someone I knew I would never really love, but could not leave. Sucks how life deals that to you.
This song was actually written in most part by Journey's keyboardist, Jonathan Cane. A lot of Loverboy's music was written by other artists to help propel their image. I like this song, but not all the credit goes to Loverboy.
These guys did not write much of their own music. In fact this one was written by Journey's keyboardist Jonathan Cain, but it did make a good ballad. One of my favorites. I especially like Paul Dean's solo in this one.
