The BIGGEST thing money can buy is TIME.......FREE time used not working a single day in your life, FREE time being spent with the ones you love, FREE time doing the things you love. MONEY can give someone peace of mind, give a poor family 2million dollars and tell them to invest it into something great and that will grow. Can you imagine giving your parents enough money to retire so that wouldnt work a single more day in their lives and so that they can enjoy the world?
If you're unable to make new friends after you "lose" all your old friends, how did you ever make those old friends in the first place?
But that is something people need to be aware of if they decide to make a lot of money, they will have to change friends as many of their "old friends" won't be able to relate to them anymore.
Any true friend would be glad for your success, but true friends are rare.
my answer to that last question if i lost all my family and friends could it still buy me happiness?? no it cant - japanese whores, nice private jet, perfect body, beautiful house surrounded by an aquairum with sharks...an XBOX 360 on a flat screen TV,BETTER friends ...a better family...umm nope cant buy me happiness =(
LOL, I think everyone should be super ambitious and make themselves rich beyond their dreams - Making them so greedy they would step on their own mother to get more... Priceless
money could always be reprinted. whores selling themselves for paper that the government's printing over and over again. selling your soul for paper. people do things for the love of paper???? Im not a millionare, but am burned out from chasing money. Im tired of throwing the green paper in my bank and stock accounts. happiness is how you live your life. no matter how much cash I have, I'll never be happy
Yes it can. When you have bills to pay and you know that once all of them are paid and they free up your stress and anxiety it allows to comfortably enjoy your life without problems. People who have millions of dollars that kill themselves thats because they have other issues.
@jstanl This is only true if you consider stress relief as a synonym for true happiness. Studies have actually shown that any salary earner above $60,000 per year there is no differences in happiness among these individuals (whether you earn $60,000 or $600,000 or $6,000,000) You need money (usually) to live in today's consumer age, but you need character and integrity to really enjoy it.
@jstanl money for maintenance is different, yes some money is necessary to maintain the body and family. i think the video is focusing more on being really rich etc, it may seem like paying the bills is easier and all but think about, the more u have the more u spend, you buy a bigger house, bigger car and so many things and thus the your expenses will go up. happiness comes from friendship, honest good deeds those sort of things. :-)
In a recent study in the 'Economist' (Yes, it's a magazine that talks about all things about money) Money does indeed, buy happiness. HOWEVER to a certain extent, and let me explain.
Homeless are clearly not happy... That's a fact. You don't go down to a Hoovervile and see smiling bums, content with their lives. However, even the richest are happy, but it's limited (Britney, *cough*) It's a balance of money, relationships, and stability.
for me it does and im not rich this is because the little money i have makes me proud of myself by seeing the little things i have and when i give someone a gift and see their reaction its priceless its the greedy ones saying money cant buy happiness or the people that dnt look on the bright side of things
I know it was not a poor man who said money cant buy happiness! I never wanted money for selfish reasons...only to help those around me like family. So if they are happy then I am happier...so in my opinion money can buy happiness!!!
Sorry to say, but money can buy happiness. What do you mean by happiness anyway? Having a family? having kids? Loving each other? Try that with no money. You will fail. It's easier to say "Money cannot buy happiness" when you have it. The point is,l you have zero money, you have zero life.
@onixya1969 I don't believe this to be true. The only reason why money seem to have value is because humans put value in it. People were happy before money exist, so how can you say money equal happiness
@edvykoi because before money they had other things to make them happy. like maybe watching tv makes me happy but that doesn't mean that it doesn't...wait what err ya it doesn't mean that they had tv's back then.
This is well done! Cause it really doesn;t matter how much or how little you have in money just make sure to take care of you number one by feeling good, happy in what your doing, you enjoying time with your friends and family, and anything else that makes you happy make sure you enjoy it cause if you don;t that isn;t a good thing to be unhappy in life... Live life to it's fullest cause you never now what will happen next.... :P

don't spend all your life making all that money, it won't take you to heaven. you can't take it with you to the next world when you die

Whoever said "Money doesn't buy happiness" simply didn't know where to go shopping.

If you were offered 100 million dollars and could keep your friends, family, and loved ones to share in the wealth... Would that buy happiness?
Don't be so close minded.
