Brilliant - decided to check you out after you were mentioned on the BBC website in that article about guitar bands. Loved the Alice in Wonderland metaphor for a woman's escape from a loveless. 50s style marriage and alcoholic husband through drug taking (never thought about the whole potions thing in Alice before), and the use of the washing machine to symbolise unrelenting domesticity was inspired. I particularly enjoyed the contrast of the footballers against the husband.
@Gperez187 Haha hermano creo que es más fácil que nosotros hagamos el viaje a Sheffield. But guys, please come to México as soon as you can, you've got many fans out there.
Just discovered you in NYLON magazine and, after hearing this song, I've falled in love with your music! And it's nice to see some talent come out of Sheffield! Keep up the good work!
hey can u please tell me where i can find this song. i recently heard it and loved it. also this other song called- bricks and slaughter. please help out.
another gem of a song from sheffied- added to the already rich history - pulp, cabaret voltaire, echo and the bunnymen..
@jarvxxx Hello, Crookes here! You can purchase Bloodshot Days as a download from Itunes along with our single Bside Through The Cats Whisker. Bricks and Slaughter which was played for the first time on Radio6 has not been formally recorded and cannot be found anywhere other than that session! We have plans to record it though and will let you know when it arrives! xx
Amazing! I was at a cafe today on the seafront in Brighton, really sunny, sat down to have a hot chocolate and kit kat, put on bbc 6 music and plugged in my headphones and this song played, you couldn't have planned it, it was perfect!
This version is ever so slightly different in tone to the one I have bought. Did something change? xx
