what was that object in the sky starting at 2:07, don't tell me thats earth, earth appears much larger in photos from the moon.

Yes, that should be the earth, but something looks definitely wrong here.

Just google 'earth from moon' and you can get bunch of pictures taken by Apollo 17 where earth looks much much bigger, as it is supposed to be. But here, instead, the earth appears even smaller than the moon we can see from earth... What happened?

@1965christian well the moon subtends roughly a half degree when viewed from the Earth. You can actually cover it with a pencil eraser held at arms length. The Earth is roughly twice that size when viewed from the Lunar surface. Not as large as you might think.

Well, the diameter of moon is 3.500 Km, while the diameter of earth is more than 14.000 Km. It means earth is a GIANT compared to moon, almost 5 times larger . Isn't it? My point was that the NASA pictures (not my brains'pictures) just DO NOT match with this movie. It is so clear. Something is clearly wrong: earth from moon here looks the size we see moon from earth (even smaller)... and this doesn't seem to be possible.

@1965christian I really can not see how you can gauge the apparent diameter of an object based on a youtube video like this without some sort of reference in the same image or at least details concerning the FOV of the image rendered. I don't know how large you think the moon should appear from the moon. certainly it would be noticeably larger than the moon as seen from the earth but it is still a pretty small object.

The earth is pictured together with the rover's radar at min 2. You can easily estimate the "apparent" diameters based on radar dimensions. Then you can compare to official "supposed to be true" NASA puctures of earth seen from the moon.... Come on, is evident. Or this movie is a fake or the pictures are faked. I can't say and I am not gonna say 'both'...
