  • The newer systems are great because you have parental controls to mess with. Newer PC games are catching on aswell with various controls that can disable playing for under age players and not allow the app to run at times when the kids shouldn't be on it like at bed time. The only down side is the usual that they can be figured out easy if you got a lil smarty.

  • @MajorDestruction I've been hiding Call of Duty 4 from my 11-year old. I'll check out the parental controls.

  • @DadLabs Cool :) Just as a note their are a ton of how to guides here on youtube for the ps3 and 360 that walk you through step by step and explain everything, its a ton more helpful than the instruction booklets in my opinion. As for the Wii I am not sure... I own one but seeing as how most games for that console are kid-centric I never really inspected for parental controls but I would imagine it has them aswell.

  • wii is for famaly 360 is for competitive gaming and online socialization ps3 is for rich people lol

  • This vid was made just as Wii was being released. We're big fans now!

  • I got 360 woo hooooo, i think there are a couple of kid games in 'er, Banjoo Kazooie, Kung fu Panda and other kid movies.

  • i think the game cube. i had 1 and all and i mean all the games are cartoon or disney games very cheap and very good 4 kids or the wii but it is more expesive lol but more interactive or u can even go to the nintendo ds lite wich is etxremly fun 4 younger ppl so if ur ok with spending a couple xtra bucks go with the wii

  • Good ideas, thanks!

  • We now have a Wii and think it is hands down the best for younger kids.

  • I r guy who have 360 and i play gears and halo and hav 360. lolololololol

  • of course, the wii wouldn't be JUST for the kid.

I like the PS2, too, for kids of the age you mentioned... for all the same reasons.

  • I have to say the wii... it's the most family-friendly.
