If there could be one person ever to tell this story perfectly, it's Bruce. I actually read the poem awhile ago, before I knew about the Maiden version. Maiden did a kick ass job; the instrumentals are brilliant, and the soul of the story is there, but in a very interesting manner.

@motleyflush - there's a film Rime of the Ancient Mariner 1975 staring a mostly unknown actor named Roland Curram. It's a pretty good film, but it really is ready for a remake...especially since nobody remembers the first one anyway and the fact that most people are unaware of the poem. / I wouldn't have known it if it wasn't for Iron Maiden and other metal acts that inspired me to read. They say Heavy Metal is bad for you, but when did Duran Duran ever cause anyone to pick up a book?
