I have an iPhone 4 at the moment and I do like the sound and looks of this phone. If I was to get a android phone again then it would definitely be one with a notification light which this SG2 lacks. Every phone should have one, that includes the iPhone, its a pain.

I dont know why everyone likes this phone so much, its very laggy. it has a dualcore processor but looks like its cpu is clocked at 300GHZ. LG and Sony phones are a Hundred times smoother, better camera, 3D , playstation.......Specs are not important people , the power of the device is important
samsung's hardware are much much better than htc's hardware. but htc user experience and software is too good to beat. if samsung plans to beat htc, they have to really improve on touchwiz which is horrible compare to sense. its no point of having a powerful computer but the software in it keeps lagging and not user friendly. for anyone who plans to buy this phone, just be a little worried because the software may be a headache. but of course the hardware is just excellent..

Let tell you this straight. There are loads of phone companies but apple does the most hardware optimisation to their phones then comes samsung where they made their CPU special so it can play hd 720p on 1 core on the galaxy s where as others like desire hd choked on that because it wasnt specially optimised so it isn't always bout da specs. Like most these dual cores arent even taking advantage of their horsepower
dont get a phone made by samsung ( which it is) because they'll be delaying the updates! DONT GET, i own vibrant, its cool but so many bad stuff about it cuz no update......they do have the 2.2 update now but not through OTA. there are also problems with Kies mini when updating!!!!SAMSUNG!!!, hope u get bankrupt!!!

@jshay313 haha. SGS and DHD are very well comparable. In fact they're about equally good. SGS2 on the other hand blows both of them out of the water obviously.
@APACA actually I've use both Desire HD and the Galaxy S. I would say performance vise, Desire HD is slightly better. HTC also have much better Ui. Both phone have their bug but with Desire HD I only need to click the USB debugging mode lagfix it while the galaxy S i need to root it and I happen to have the one that comes without the 3 button recovery mode. I've been to so much trouble to lagfix it. But after the lagfix I'm pretty satisfy with it. I'm pretty sure galaxy S II is better then both
@APACA If you are talking about the stock version of sgs, it is not that good. You HAVE to root+install unofficial patch to make it not lag like hell all the time. I know because I had to do that. It's better now. Also these software buttons annoy me I sometimes hit the back button with my finger when I try to write. Some little things that annoy me.
I have the international one running with the official FROYO:2.2.1(FROYO.DXJPE).It runs great,doesn't lag at all,GPS working great too.The phone is ultra fast(stock).

I dont know why everyone likes this phone so much, its very laggy. it has a dualcore processor but looks like its cpu is clocked at 300GHZ. LG and Sony phones are a Hundred times smoother, better camera, 3D , playstation.......Specs are not important people , the power of the device is important

samsung's hardware are much much better than htc's hardware. but htc user experience and software is too good to beat. if samsung plans to beat htc, they have to really improve on touchwiz which is horrible compare to sense. its no point of having a powerful computer but the software in it keeps lagging and not user friendly. for anyone who plans to buy this phone, just be a little worried because the software may be a headache. but of course the hardware is just excellent..

@DVincenz NO NO I have personally compared Bravia engine 3 with Samsungs latest LED TV and the bravia engine was really working, I could obviously see the difference!! and its true , reality display which latest Sony smartphones have, is very better than the super AMOLED that Samsung creates. Both manufacturers products are amazing but I think that Sony is the leader, not only for smartphones, Cameras, VAIO and also for 3D technology. search for Xperia arc comparison if you dont believe me

@DVincenz if a student at school had so many erasers, you would ask for one if you didnt have one, if another had so many pens you would also ask for one. but if another has two erasers and two pens you wouldn't ask him. you would ask the ones that have so many. its like Sony and apple, the reason that there is no lag in Sony and apple smartphones is that they optimize the OS for the device, unlike Samsung and the others. thats why galaxy s2 is laggy, Samsung's job is only hardware!!

Sony Ericsson is known for its best designs, there is nothing attractive in galaxy s or s2, but look at xperia neo and xperia arcs designs, you will fall in love with them after one look. and for specs and hardware, Sony is awesome, VAIO is a way better tan Samsung laptops, and also Sony Ericsson has the most optimized CPU as i said earlier. Let tell you this straight. There are loads of phone companies but apple does the most hardware optimisation to their phones then comes samsung where they made their CPU special so it can play hd 720p on 1 core on the galaxy s where as others like desire hd choked on that because it wasnt specially optimised so it isn't always bout da specs. Like most these dual cores arent even taking advantage of their horsepower

@APACA actually I've use both Desire HD and the Galaxy S. I would say performance vise, Desire HD is slightly better. HTC also have much better Ui. Both phone have their bug but with Desire HD I only need to click the USB debugging mode lagfix it while the galaxy S i need to root it and I happen to have the one that comes without the 3 button recovery mode. I've been to so much trouble to lagfix it. But after the lagfix I'm pretty satisfy with it. I'm pretty sure galaxy S II is better then both

@APACA If you are talking about the stock version of sgs, it is not that good. You HAVE to root+install unofficial patch to make it not lag like hell all the time. I know because I had to do that. It's better now. Also these software buttons annoy me I sometimes hit the back button with my finger when I try to write. Some little things that annoy me.
