  • *Sigh* Can you just send me one?

  • awesome legend of zelda ocarina of time, majoras mask, and super mario all day every day

  • Wait can it save memory?

  • Sounds like A lot of Nonsense , Im no Mcgiver , But why not just Buy A DVD screen with the inputs , and custom mod A case the fits the N64's Design ? Sound a lot easier than Soldering A whole new Circuit board .... Forget that Mission !!!!

  • would a battery for an airsoft gun work or would that be even less I also have an old pc that doesnt work anymore would that battery work.

  • the port on the bottom was used for add ons that were sold only in japan such as the cd64 plus which was a backup device that you could use to play your copied n64 roms from disc.

rare as they were only sold in japan.

    ebay. com/itm/Nintendo-64-CD64-plus-very-rare-/250970911286?pt=UK_VideoGames_VideoGameConsoles_VideoGameConsoles&hash=item3a6f083236#ht_626wt_1297

  • Wouldn't it be cooler to just hook it up to a portable Tv screen on The backseat of your car...

  • Great and insightful video but did you have to say uh like after every word...for a second i started to lose interest...but i love n4 so i stuck with the vid all the way.

  • Actually, they're probably referring to the fact that many people want Majora's Mask on 3DS. However, seeing as how their are no official announcements, there is no way to play MM portable (without using emulators on iPhone, Android, etc.) Now that there is a pretty easy tutorial explaining how to create a portable N64, we can finally play MM on the go without waiting (or hoping) for a 3DS release.

  • Get a laptop for $100 and use the n64 emulator... DONE!

  • i like how he says he recommends the polaroid dvd player and it has 2.5 stars. lol

  • so we had to get a power supply uhh our battery pack uhh is seventy four volts uhh and we can i actually uhh set that out with a voltage regulator uhh

  • will a laptop work?

  • this jack*ss didn't like the Nintendo 64(he also says that he never played it) so he's trying to insult it every chance he gets.

  • +your bic pen screwdriver didn't work

  • Im sorry to break the news to you, but thats not an n64 portable, thats a piece of shit.

  • it doesnt technically count as a portable if you have to carry a controler around with you

  • Fuck the Air Force.

  • @EPICTUB3 i lowered it back down to 64

  • so uh, im not gonna make this..

  • is it still possible to do this if your N64 is missing the AV cables? (due to several times of being moved over the years)

  • @FenixT93 I believe you mean that your cable from the nintendo to your tv is missing? well yes you can because if you use a PSone screen or any TFT screen they will have like he shows in the vid, these tiny white wires, those are the AV cables and then you just connect those to your nintendo and now you have a working nintendo ( if you have a battery ofc)

  • @TheArkhangelsk yes, i meant that. and thanks. :)

  • take a PSP+hack+N64emulator+roms= have fun

  • @thepeopleinthecerro =laggy crap, with annoying sound rates :)

  • Is this you?

  • mines not sitting in my closet...its hooked up to my flat screen

  • I prefer car monitors for screens. it seems like the ps1 screens are becoming rare and expensive, but you can get a simple car monitor for about $20 - $30 depending on the size and quality off ebay. it has a simple analong input and everything. No sound though. But sound is simple. You can just wire a speaker or headphone jack directly to the N64's audio out.

  • @zackery261 Could you send me a link to a cheap one. I keep seeing expensive ones and I'm not sure they have analog input.

  • @TheFatty2497 Uh huh, you can just seach "car monitor" on ebay or something, but i will send a message too

  • What kind of connector for the game slot to move it

  • finnaly Legend of zelda PORTABLE without a 3DS yeah =]

  • @EMan2ize This video was posted in 2008, Zelda for 3ds hasnt been out long, so your comment made no sense sorry to say...

  • @EMan2ize Ever heard of "Phantom Hourglass"?

  • @mariosunshinefaan yes .3.

  • @mariosunshinefaan or better yet, Link to the Past

  • @EMan2ize Finally! Majora's Mask portable without 3DS!

  • @anikid0392 You mean OoT without 3DS.

  • i have a n64 but it hasa problem... it's official scart is broke i works but the screen is fuzzy

  • you know what im twelve and the n64, nes, and pong were my childhood.

  • If you go on a cruise and play video games, you're a spoiled brat.

  • 23 people are traitors to Nintendo.

  • insted of a portabel n64 what about a portabel gamecube!!!!!

  • lets say you could make any type of portable n64 could you use a broken but still working ds lite top screen? i want to make one

  • @3games1vid no

  • @3games1vid It would have to have analog input, so no. Plus the DS resolution sucks if you are playing console games.

  • ahh, that guy is cool ahh, and its cool proyec, ahh, and ahh, jajajaj it funny how's he talks ahh ahhh ahh

  • i wanna do that sooooooo bad.

  • the TI chip is not available anymore, can you offer a possible replacement?

  • SELL ME THAT GAME! I WANT THE BANJO AND KAZOOIE GAME!

  • @DogoSanji dude there are more version of n64 portables, go on forums.modretro.com. Seriously, or just go to shockslayer. He has a trisixtyfource for sale at $500 dollars. Just thought that would be helpful.

  • At 20:54 I thought he shocked himself then noticed it was just fast-motion

  • cool N64 case

  • can i double battery it?

  • fucking asians...

  • hers my idea of portable 64, N64, portable tv, battery.

  • sell me one

  • did any body actually make this

  • hello guys, im making a portable n64 and i got my free PTH08080WAH step down regulator. i was wondering how i could use the regulator

to step down 12 volts ( i need 12 for the screen i selected) to the 3.3 volts. I need to know what Capacitor and Resistor i need to make the step down. Someone please help me!!

  • @ThePCMACMAN can you send me a link where i can get the free sample

  • lol. This sucks... Props to Marshall for the L64!

  • wow. you guys rule :) i love messing with electronics and this is now my new project. props

  • 6:21 he tries to make a funny joke out of things.

" Isn't this the harddrive I was looking for yesterday? "

    -"nah I don't think so "

    Buzzkiller....

  • Alright, is there anyway you all could give me a list of EXACTLY what you used and the tools, And I do mean everything you all bought!! I need to know

  • pokemon snap is the best pokemon game made until 2004

  • Oh yeah, well my N64 is sitting in my living room hooked up to my tv where it belongs, who that owns an n64, puts it in an attic, basement, or storage area?

  • @RCRgoodwrench Mine's in my room so my Dad doesn't fight with me for the T.V :D

  • @RCRgoodwrench mines in my room

  • @dyball19 hey dude, your ignorance is showing

  • @watermelonandpotato sweeeeeet!

  • @RCRgoodwrench and yet another example of idiots following idiots.

  • I threw out the pen idea and used something else, a clock winding tool, worked great! Damn pen was a good one too.

  • I even used the same exact pen and it didnt work

  • How did you unscrew the N64 with a pen? I tried the same thing and the pen melted a little before i got to the second screw, leaving me with an unusable tool.

  • N64 sitting in the closet? I don't think so...

  • by alot

  • @ShadowKayrik

i loved all those games, very fun multi ds is the highest selling system of all time. u gotta give it some respect.

but i own a N64 as well, and Cbfd is the best game ever

    buuut, DS still :]

  • @pirateohope you do relaise DS isnt even close to highest selling system of all time... ps2 is

  • @IAmNeoConker

    Incorrect

  • why do this if you have a hacked psp

  • @victormorenoortega because n64 emu on psp doesnt run smooth at all

  • You guys stole my External Hard Drive case.

  • The other asian must be so excited to hold the portable 64 and it's guts

  • when i saw this video title i thought this was gunna be easy.... when i saw 2 japaniese guys i thought "god dammit" i thought i was gunna be able to have a N64 pretty easily but i guess not.... (no offesne to japs i was just sayin)

  • Why not just download an Emulator on your phone?

Droid has a few on the market.

  • could this work with a ds screen?

  • i dont care what it looks like as long as it plays Conker's bad fur day, it's awesome

  • i keep my n64 in the living room were it belongs!

  • Can I gut the PDV and just use that as the screen/case?

  • OMG..... this was uploaded in my birthday this is meant to be

  • its a great idea but i prefer the look of the "Darth 64"

  • Why nintendo didn't think of this

  • This is the shittiest portable I've ever seen.

  • @ligyro you should make a vid on how to make the one you made.

  • thanks this video inspired me to make my own n64. i gave it to my little cousin and he loves it

  • or you just buy a new laptop and use n64 emulator

  • CAN YOU USE ANY ORTHER BATTIES LIKE A CAR BATTIE?

  • 13:54 , ha!

  • What is the part number or type of cable used to relocate the card slot for the game??

  • they would put a copyright on the motherboard! lol!

  • hey how do you solder the switch thing to make it permanently on?

  • uhh uhhhh uhhh ahh uhhh

  • Do you sell these??

  • jesus its big imagen how many weird stares you would get in skool running round with that

  • @caolanr8 thats what she said

  • @jakeswny well il stick with the 3ds thank you very much

  • my dad said to me that him and his budy hacked the super nintendo and made it so it can go in the car a long time ago when they first came out

  • if you think about it, for any game system, you need a screen........so find a lcd screen, put it on your game system, plug it into eachother, and there you go

  • the dd port wasn't released due to the commercial failure. it was only released in Japan. it was meant to increase save space.

  • how much do i have to pay you to make me one of these????

  • @anyrandomguy13 depends on what you get to make it. possibly.. nothing. you could already have everything you need just... lying around. i have a couple of li-ion batteries. which.. is a bit harder to use. but my bro has an old laptop. i might turn that laptop into one of these. or since i have an old xbox 360 that redringed.. i might take it apart and fix it into the laptop.

  • you spelled system wrong

  • This was a bit to complex for me (for now), so I'm only going to open my n64 to fix the reset button that is stuck.

  • someone needs to sell these. i would TOTALLY buy one, seeing as i have no clue how to solder or anything...

  • Haha, I'll have to show this to my granpa, he'll have fun if he can find an N64 cheap on eBay... oh gosh...

  • What do you mean? My Nintendo 64 is on my room :P Its plugged in and everything :S

  • instead of doing this crap why dont you just get a laptop and download an n64 emulator and some roms easier and cheaper than this.

  • @MarioAndLuigi7201 This is more fun then emulators.

Plus emulators are buggy, and there's the satisfaction of knowing you did it.

  • @MarioAndLuigi7201 because original hardware is so much better.

  • totally unhelpful :(

  • idk if it's just me, but if I have a portable gaming system I don't want to carry around a big controller with it

  • When I had my system in my closet (cause we were selling house, it had to be hidden, and played of course) she would always say: "My son's coming out of the closet" -.-

  • @kittycatonfire LOL! xD

  • cool video but you should hire a better camera guy to zoom in on stuff

  • I have never heard of a laptop battery exploding o.O lol.....

  • hey, uh, did you guys have to pay for shipping for that PTH08080WAZ part?

  • awesme!!!!!

  • if i wanted to go to school for this, where would i go and what subject would it be called

  • @smokeordie08 i totaly would go to school for it too.

  • HOW do they not get SHOCKED by those wires!?!

  • @ROBLOXChris it's unplugged.

  • not that i notice it, they say UHHH... a lot :/

  • The cable they mention that would go from the motherboard to the cartridge input. has anyone any idea of where to get one as Ive looked on the website digikey and couldn't find anything

  • @ShadowKayrik That's one DS game out of many. -,- Try out some of the good ones before judging the entire system.

  • I am not taking apart my N64 to make this. I would however use someone else's :P

  • @j7512 agreed XD

  • does the battery ever run out?

  • damn!! nintendo needs to make things like this!! not Crappy Ninetdo DS's

  • @Spyronox468 The DS was a work of fucking brilliance. Admit it, retrofag.

  • Comment removed

  • @whatsfordinner62 No shit, Sherlock; where did you come up with that brilliant analysis? The DS was and will always be amazing. That's all I'm saying. -,-

  • @Spyronox468

u can play n64 on a dsi and i think maybe the original ds's or u can play it on the 3ds when a homebrew emu comes out for it

  • @Spyronox468 3DS is awesome!

  • @montigekyou like your mother lol

  • @JDster4ever My bad trolling sense is tingling...

  • @Spyronox468 Destroying a ps1, to make a nintendo 64 portable. I think we know who won the battle between Nintendo and Sony......

  • Could just download an emulator on your computer....

  • easy for u to say u got every single object in front of u!

  • good but...

You should've added buttons and the joystick onto the shell instead of the N64 controller hanging out!

  • I wish we didn't sell ours now...

  • my n64 isnt in the closet...its straight!!

  • @Blitzwing989 your comments in the closet.

  • 32:55

    NO NOT THE WIZARD!!!! D:<

  • I wish I had an N64 sitting in my closet...

  • 5 months ago, I was surfing the web and came across this video. It inspired me to build my own portable N64, which I just finished. Good job, guys.

  • I'm gonna do this.

    I WILL!!!!

  • Hey, I was wondering if Systm would happily make a video that explains on how to make a USB N64 controller that can go into your computer just in case a person has an N64 emulator on their computer. and be sure to include any examples of problems that those people might have. please and thanks

  • wow thanks, all i have to do now is paint it a differant colour!

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh uh uuuuuuuuh uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh

  • make a portable gamecube... i want to play windwaker in my car!! lol

  • @Alphaman43110 I approve of this comment.

  • Hosts, Daniel fukuba

wish that were my last name.......

    (im not being sarcastic either)

  • uhhhh......

  • this guy is like Paul Sr from american chopper

  • He's an intern, so he's probably not used to the extended interview on camera, and just spouting off knowledge from the top of his head.

He built his own portable N64, so he's a bad ass. Cut him some slack!

  • im not mad or anything i just want to put an info in here:

that slot that is located below the normal n64 cartridge slot was used to put an expansion released in japan called n64dd, sadly, it failed and now is one of the most rare videogame console expansions in the world.

  • NERD!!! lol no this is awesome

  • dam fuck theres a donkey in the video saying UUUUHHHHH

  • Hmmm once i get a job and can make some money (Im 14 and have been looking to young tho) Im going over to VT and getting some old systems to play with!

  • ha at the end it says on the screen no controller so that means when they were putting it in that it wasnt working

  • @Bolandm56 or xbox 360 controller with the program xpadder
