I wish every voter could have seen this interview. The degree to which media swift boated Huckabee on this issue was absolutely irresponsible. That letter was quoted repeatedly, always leaving out the second half which says he was however not going to be able to commute him.
I am a Democratic and I am looking at a Interview that Huckabee did on "Meet The Press" For all Republicans out there...this is the guy you should be going for. He has a good attitude about issues and he also speaks very well about the issues too. Good Luck Huckabee!
This seems to reflect more on Clinton than anyone else, Huckabee STOPPED the guy from being released without parole 3 TIMES! Had a democrat been in office, he would have been off with no parole. This is a sad case, but to solely blame Huckabee for this is nothing but ad hominem irrelevancy.
Every governor takes a political risk when granting a commutation (which Gov. Huckabee did not do in this case) or even writing a letter such as Gov. Huckabee did. It is right and proper that a governor should take the heat in such a case, as Candidate Huckabee is doing right now. That said, he seemed to give honest answers to Wolf Blitzer.
I'm voting for Ron Paul, but I try to keep up with all the candidates. Huck is getting wronged and this is a bogus issue. There is always more to be learned if you look deeper--and two sides to every story. Huck, you're a good man...(Ron is better though :)
That's what is wrong today, so many people want to point a finger and blame. Did Huckabee make Dumond kill that lady, NO. Dumond needs to take 100% responsibilty for this.
once again ,MIKE HUCKABEE stands up to the test. there is no stopping him!!!!!! wow a man that has not had to back step yet.people open your eyes & mind,He is the only fit candidate for president.VOTE MIKE HUCKABEE!
I think the accusations against Huckabee are sensationalized. Dumond was castrated and abused by the sherrif (who, BTW, is/was in jail, as I understand it). The prisoner had an exemplary record. Huck didn't commute, wouldn't commute. He indicated that parole could reintegrate Dumond back into society. I think the fact that Huck has went through this give him more wisdom and will make him a BETTER president.
What a lousy piece of dirt to dig up. I mean seriously, do they expect THIS will stop Huckabee's rise to the top? Pretty pathetic mud slinging. More like blowing sand in the wind.
I feel bad for Huck.. why does the nice guy always get the blame?

Truly despicable reporting.

I'm no fan of Huckabee's policies, but how could you even think of blaming Huckabee for the rape/murder?

I'm honestly not a huge fan of Huck, but what the media is doing to him is deplorable. They are politicising a murder. Shame.

Go Huck. He always answers the questions asked of him. That is much more than I can say for Hillary.
