  • why this isn't on the VC yet is beyond me

  • Better than superman 64

  • I was one of those kids who didn't have a playstation growing up. I've always been a Sega boy, so I had my Sega Saturn and Nights as one of my games. I never felt an ounce of jealousy towards those who owned a playstation. I still see Nights as one of the defining points of all my video game experiences.

  • brings back some memories when i was 8 now i'm 18 i still miss this experience

  • woooo like a ride on a rollercoaster. pretty amazing graphics, with all the stuff going on at this speed. thumbs up for the saturn!!

  • What's interesting is that after watching this I actually feel like I need sleep , but its only like 10PM. I could sometimes be up as late as dawn. Wow, SEGA!

  • Does this remind you of Avatar?

  • NiGHTS should have been in Brawl. who's with me?

  • Me! But like with every good sega mascot (wonder boy Alex kidd bonanza bros and opa opa) they get ignored! Well excpet for those all star games, but they don't exactly make up for the decades of neglect lol!

  • out of all of those, NiGHTS had the best chance due to Nintendo plucking him from obscurity with his game on the Wii. Still...

  • @evilmidget Deffinatly

  • I'll retract what I said about "Dreams Dreams", because of the "vocal-less" cut, and in the interest of a "spoiler-free" clip.

  • Love the soundtrack, but something really wrong with this presentation. No non-redbook stage music, no "Dreams Dreams", and, unless I missed it, that stuff at :20-2:06 ain't from the Saturn release. Hate to use the word "lazy"....

  • anybody remember the bonus audio track on Christmas NiGHTS? it was an R&B acapella version of the ending theme. i've been told that it was performed the the legendary Boyz II Men! can anyone confirm this? it wouldn't suprise as sega was very popular with collaborating with popular music artists all over the world (sega of japan, at least...) and doesn't the start of the song at 8:54 sound like the song from akira when tetsuo was freaking out in the hospital with the teddy bear and toys?

  • Boyz II Men? Oh, hells no. I think someone believed their first impressions, like when I heard "My Sweet Passion" (theme of AMY) and thought for a second it was Janet Jackson. The "Dreams Dreams" acapella was done by WaveMaster's stalwart studio singers such as Marlon Saunders, who sang on Knuckles' themes.

  • love the music from nights

  • i played this game in my dreamcast Sonic adventure

  • this is one of my favorite games...i almost forgot i had it...time to bring out the saturn!!! go nostalgia!

  • I really wish Saturn Emulation was better. Games are tough to find, and can be expensive. I have this game but it's a sealed copy which I'm never gonna open. I really missed out on the Saturn, and the music is all I really can say I've experienced of the system. Sega wrote some really awesome and cheesy songs for games like Nights, Sega Rally, and Sakura Taisen.

  • There was a PS2 remake of the original Nights Into Dreams. It featured an "enhanced" remake, and an "original" version of the game.

The game, soundtrack, and pretty much everything are kept intact. The enhanced remake uses nicer textures and higher polycounts, but is otherwise the same.

If you don't want to open your copy of the game, and still want to experience it, pick up the remake for the PS2.

    You'll need:

1.) The game or a download of the game

    2.) A Japanese PS2 or a modded PS2.

  • My favorite game of all time!

    How can anyone dislike NiGHTS?

Both the music and game is so beautiful~

  • i just found out that this game also came out on ps2 but only in japan

  • this game is one of the best games ever made is this game only on saturn or also for pc garudof ??? or any other platform apert from Wii

  • only on saturn

  • This is one of those games that proves that games ARE a form of art to be cherish and appreciated.

  • man i hope you get to other saturn games too.. magic knight rayearth has a great soundtrack that i can't find anywhere.

  • Yeah, I'll bust out some Saturn tunes every now and then. As for MKR, you can probably find it in the FFShrine forums.

  • man I played this like 15 years ago...oh no, I'm old.. I was at a friend's house when I first found out about this game. I only played it once or twice, but I never forgot it. It left a hell of an impression on me; amazing, beautiful, colorful, imaginative, I really miss it.

  • NiGHTS' OST can really only be described as sublime. Perfect in almost every way.

  • in the niiiiiiight...dream deliiiiiight...i want to seeee you staaanding theeeeeere...

  • ... How can you NOT like this!?

  • i never did get to play the original, but when i had my saturn, i got a free game in the mail that was a christmas edition of Nights. it played like a demo though, so after i die or if i win the level i would get a "happy holidays from sega" message and then the game would restart

  • i think i remember playing that game in the store, never got into it

  • not that im ever picky about quality but the pixels are hilarious!

  • Ahh, NiGHTS music! I bought it and also the Remix CD long ago and listen often. Always will.

  • Beyond amazing sound track

  • Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is not so bad either xD

  • Ah yes the Sega Saturn's shining star

  • Agreed so underrated and a game I dearly love.
