If you read the OT you'll see that females were married at puberty. In the ME and central asia you see the people still doing this, etc.

Not only have I just had a Muslim tell me on Is it Possible For A Muslim Girl To Marry A Non-Muslim Man ? that "infact [sic] certain sections of the glorious Quran cancel out others" but I was also told "This is a basic rule that one needs to understand."
So the Qur'ān DOES contradict itself, and a basic rule is that God doesn't always agree with himself.

One civilization is advancing into the future, the other sliding into the past, where its adherents say it should have stayed. On their way back, those adherents pass messages to those who support the future. The messages say that past and future are the same (if the past wasn't actually better).

To Muslims, Islam is indescribably better than the sum of its parts. It matters not how many atrocities are committed, how often they're committed, how many people suffer in them, or how badly they suffer. It matters not how incoherent and vindictive the Qur'ān is. It matters not how violent and sensual Muhammad was. And it matters not how dramatically empty Muslims' case for Islam is here. There is SOMETHING wonderful about Islam, even if Muslims can't quite say what that is.

Instead, we're to reverently absorb an ancient and incoherent book that reeks of loathing for unbelievers. (Muhammad by the end of his life had become angry that Christians and Jews were rejecting his lofty claims.) I.e., we're to reject sensory impressions and education, and accept that life is victim and victimizer separated along Islam's frontiers (AND male from female).

And Muslim men are interested in dominating women (and in having slaves, though that is seldom said these days). Vengeance is largely what Islam is about. The Qur'ān makes that clear.

To excuse Islam, pandar emphasizes the ragtag few who've pitted themselves against science and killed doctors. Why does he? I'm confident that the number of abortionists who've been killed by zealous Christians (in obvious violation of Jesus' teachings) does not approach the number of people, Muslim and infidel alike, who've been dispatched for the glory of Allah in many a single bombing. Excuse Islam? Heh. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of nattering on about how terrible Islam is. Good Christians and good Muslims outnumber the bad, but that doesn't really matter, does it?
Now, so long as the governments remain secular (as in the Muslim country of Turkey), yeah... the killings are kept at a minimum. However, if you believe there's any less danger, you're wrong. And we seem to be killing Muslims just as good as they do.
Ultimately, Christianity and Islam are no different.

All the more, old barbarism does not excuse new. And the barbarism the world faces today is barbarism that intends to dominate the world. In The Middle East, Bernard Lewis writes "The object of jihād is to bring the whole world under Islamic law....to remove obstacles to conversion...." Witch hunts did not seek such domination.

You're right. The church didn't keep records of how many "witches" it burned. But the estimates are sure enough to say that it was in the millions.

Actually, while you're presuming the liberty to say that millions of witches were killed, scholars who are slower with their pens and clearer about numbers differ with those who wish to make Islam look no different from the rest of the world. You might try checking Robin Briggs' Witches & Neighbours and Brian Levack's Witch-Hunt in Early Modern Europe, as I'd recommended on YouTube a month or so ago.
