@sirsly420 I do use a coffee filter, the only extra step i do which i do not believe i have seen in the "ear wax" "amber glass" and "budder" videos... is cooking it down. after i give it a hot water bath, ill put the pyrex on the stove on an extremely low temp to cook off the remaining butane. it seems you guys dont even do that? just whip the shit out of it in a hot water bath?
@thosemynikes I've purged with boiling water and then baked it in the oven for a little at 150 degrees before . Whatever works as long as your safe , only bake it if 99% of the butane is gone to prevent any accidents . My first main purge is always done outside .

@thosemynikes most bho brands say "filtered up to 5 times" but they dont actually do It 5 times , the best bho I have found is the kind i show in the video , its made in the UK instead of china or Korea (both places with low standards ) it could be coming out black if the trichomes were really dark Amber colored to begin with , other than that I'm not sure why its coming out black .
@thosemynikes It could be because you use too much heat during the purge process.. THC degrades and the oil gets darker when heated at temp higher than 150 degrees

@allmiles1 I'm not sure what grain alcohol is I'm guessing the shit u drink ? Well I used to use 91% or99% isopropyl alcohol but it doesn't come out nearly as good as lucienne butane so I'd use butane or iso if that's all u can get... Peace

@allmiles1 Who told you I have delicate feelings ? Lol jk ... As long as you purge the hash completely and use lucienne butane quad refined you should be fine . I can't stress how important the purging process is tho ! I see alot of people with hash that is still very wet . When done properly it should like glass . I've even seen hash on utube with butane bubbles still in it :( all bad ... Try bubble bags if u want an ALL natural hash

@allmiles1 with proper education and technique there is no butane left in the end product.
with proper patience you can make this type of glass with alcohol, but i'm not educated as to whether the sugars/(any other things) that are also in the alcohol will evaporate or if theyre harmful to smoke.
if you smoke herb and you use a lighter to incinerate your herb than you are also inhaling a lot of butane, more than you would smoking hardly purged oil.
