Whitehorse Music review to violins paesold 800 and gliga pro

How would you compare the sound of the new Bizzini Studio Violin you have to these two violins? I am trying to choose something to upgrade from and until you started selling the Bizzini I was leaning towards the Gliga Pro.

Thanks for the question. It really comes down to the individual violin.

They're both great brands, but each piece of wood is different.

I'll be getting more Bazzini's soon, so I'll let you know what they sound like.

I just bought a 2001 Paesold pa800 that looks brand new (for $150!). I was wondering what strings where on the violin in the video. Also, are they the strings you would recommend for the instrument?

Hi Derrick,  That's gotta be a nice buy for $150 :)

I think I had Pirastro Tonica strings on the pa800 in the video, but

I usually use Pirastro Obligato strings on that model to make it more mellow

sounding.

whats a cheap make for a gliga? cheap and what price would it be at?

The cheapest Gliga imported into Aus is the Gliga III.

Cheaper Gligas are made, but not imported into Aus by the wholesaler.

(I've seen the ones that aren't imported into Aus and I don't like them for the

price anyway)

I know that these violins are modified to make them better, but what base Gliga model is this? (Gems, Gama, Maestro?)

The Gliga pro is a Gama model.

I think the best way would be to take it to your local violin specialist. It can only be a good buy at $5!
