Being a huge Sci-Fi fan I had to watch this show and Wow! Farscape is masterpiece. The biggest strength of it is emotional/sexual chemistry between the cast. I love Crichton, Aeryn, Chiana, Zhaan, Pilot, Jool etc Sikozu was the only one annoying character. Zhaan should have been in all 4 seasons. She was the most unique character.

Farscape is one of my fav Sci-Fi shows (along with The X Files, Babylon 5, Robocop The Series, Lexx, The 4400, Torchwood, Earth: Final Conflict, TekWar, SeaQuest etc)

Sad news on the FareScape front! Jim Henson's creature shop has closed their doors for good. After several years of no work and short films based on the Muppets, Brian Henson has said that there is no place for animatronics in entertainment and that the CGI market is cornered, so he made the tough choice of borrowing more money for the company or walking away while he has a legacy to be proud of. Henson said that FareScape, The Muppets, AND all future plans are cancled until rediscovered.

I've been sketching for years now and have recently started sketching Chiana, rather challengeing, a lotta grey wash on her but I've mastered it and now have a sizeable collection af pics of her, thinking about starting a web site and posting some of my art, will keep you advised on progress of this venture, some trouble with scaning to work out first. I do realist and anime toon type stuff....

I can't watch this video entirely because it reminds me of the way they killed Farscape and how it was like a death in the family for me... The day I realized I had just seen the very last episode of Farscape with John and Aeryn falling to ashes with Chi yelling at the scene on Moya's screen... And worst of it was the silence that followed... Never thought, NEVER EVER thought Farscape would come to an end...

Fortunately the series will live forever inside of me and will never be dead for me.

I think that's a pretty astute observation. I do love that Farscape chose to do so many non humanoid, non-forehead aliens. I am first and foremost a star trek fan, but that has always been my complaint against it. (Felt they did GREAT in the new st movie with the non-stereotypically humanoid aliens.) Farscape always impressed me that way. Plus any work for Jim Henson Creature Shop is good work. I love that I forget the puppets are puppets.

As a fellow Star Trek fan, I must agree with you on that, Farscape gets my vote for originality too (well, I'm still grateful that Star Trek went for actors in make-up instead of CGI aliens - species 8472 being the notable exception). Speaking of Voyager, for some reason when I first saw Gigi as Chiana on Farscape I instantly thought of Roxann Dawson's B'elanna. Something about the make-up and hairstyle, I guess. Also Gigi's voice & how she delivered some of her lines was also slightly similar.
