This is a race between 50cc two-strokers and some four-strokers (probably 100 or 125cc). And two of the 50cc win the race ! Not that surprising, since a well adjusted 50cc two-stroker can make more than 16 HP, and the whole bike is superlight.
@hoplageis57 Thanks for the comments. The racing is actually all 50cc bikes a few 2 strokes mostly Honda 50 with HRC and Takagawa performance parts. Max allowed in Japan is 73cc very strict. I have a Sachs water cooled that develops 17-21 hp depending on jetting and the day and my weight. The bike weighs 127 ibs. Cheers
Thanks for the interest. We just finished a 7 hiour endurance on a Dream 50 with 85cc kit. No crash and won the oldest rider award (finished 20th out of 150 or 300 (still don't know). Just finished a water coled Sachs 6 speed with 28mm - supposed to be 19 hp at the rear wheel and weighs 127lbs wet. Soudl be lost of fun.

wow my father told me of 50cc bike races, from the times he was young.
This is how they should have looked like.
Modern equipment excluded, of course.

50cc 2 strokes all the way, 4 stroke doesn't give a 50cc enough power.

nice, but ou couldnt compare this with 50cc 2 stroke.
