Comparing the clutch basketball players to the wall street guys. The basketball players have an idea of a cap in their salary that teams are unable or unwilling to exceed. The wall street guys have no such cap if they're using their own money in the market. If there is no upper bound in their minds then perhaps the x-axis (at 12:50) gets stretch a little more each time a wall street guy makes more money, so that they never actually reach the peak.

I love this guy, he's everything that a scientist should be. Intelligent, logical, inspired, and a very strong imagination. He does something genuinely original, and unique. I hope I can be as good a scientist as him one day.
@ninman58 Just an addendum, Dr. Ariely also has one other thing: He has survived a traumatic life-changing event which provides him with additional insight when carrying out experiments - knowing full well just how irrational human beings act when they attempt to function within systems outside their understanding.
