  • i use cubase ai5, i was just wondering how to sample the vocals of a song and shorten the audio?

  • Hi!

I really really need help. I'm on Cubase LE4 and I can't find that ''process'' section nor the ''time strech'' thing. I guess it isn't in the software?

how can I do that same thing with LE4?

  • how i can llisten the song i put in cubase...pleaseeeeee :( heeeelp me

  • @ifizzZZzzZZ Hi. When you import the audio file make sure the audio track isn't muted and your audio preferences are set to playback via the connected interface or the built-in input if your not using one. Hope this info helps and thank for watching!

  • @WinkSound thank you...i will try! :)

  • i have a question thats killign me when i tiem stretch in logic 9 the sample comes out choppy..what am i not doing ? theres proboly a setting i havent touched but i cant figure it out its been liek a week lol someone help please

  • @akaganggreen Hi. Are you using the Flex Modes? If so make sure your using the right flex mode: monophonic, polyphonic, rhythmic, etc....You can learn how to use each one by visitin our Logic Mixing and Mastering channel. Hope this info helps and thanks for watching!

  • @WinkSound Thanks man ill check it out asap thanks for the response!

  • What about the streching tool?

  • Is there a chorcut by the way....

  • hi,i use nuendo 4 and i wana slow down the tempo and lower the pitch of audio like a walkman when the batteries are running out.i can do this when turn the jog wheel but cant seem to do it on a single piece of audio.any tips?

  • I did exactly this and it didn't work at all. Working on an acoustic cover of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, and I wanted to Strum the guitar, find a bit where the strings are resonating off each other, and stretch that, to create an effect similar to Gilmour's pedal he uses at 0:55 in the following link: youtube.com/watch?v=xPL3O7NmgpI. It stretched something like another 2 bars (When I need it to be 66 bars long!), and this horrible buzzing tone came over, with the pitch a semitone above. Help!

  • Hi, problem with cubase 5 please help -we're new to it & recently we recorded music, but whenever we record two vocal parts (each on a separate audio mono track), the audio mono 2 track can hardly be heard. The first audio mono track always overtops it. And when we tried, we couldn't get the audio 1 to stop playing so we could just hear audio 2, & dragging audio 1 track a few bars only made it all sounded instead like a "round" similar to singing a round of say 'row row row your boat'. pl help.

  • Thanks for the tip! I just a search and you provided the answer I was looking for.. thanks so much.

  • I love Cubase and i use Pro Tools as well but Ableton has the best warping ever. It`s so easy to do it and so freakin easy and quick. Did i say easy?

  • @Ometopada Not really i use ableton 2 but u cant stretch samples to fit the loop like u can do in cubase thats the only thing ableton lacks

  • @AudioCzar really? I tried figuring out Cubase... Pro Tools i get and i use it but every time i do it in Cubase it just throws everything off...

  • @AudioCzar ... Yes you were right... i tried to stretch the audio sample as far as i can and it does it more in CS... but shit man i really like doing it in Ableton. :)

  • @Ometopada yeah hopefully in live 9 they will change it u can do it in logic 2 but not live ...ableton is still better overall than both but they need to add

  • Hey man waht if i whant to stretch it to 175 bpm ?

  • Life-saver videos man, I'll watch all of them :D thx

  • I find it easier to get into grid mode.

then use the "time stretch mode" on the tool bar for the resize tool.

    Its the third one down.

Now when you resize it auto time stretches

  • Fine i haven't got cubase, just Reason,Wavepad + Viper. I understand you stretched from 4 to 8 bars. How do i know i'm time stretching it bang on? I.E. Might sound ok to me but still not in time.Is there no golden rules i can follow to make sure its correct, because this still did it on what you chose I.E. 8 BARS.If i'd done 7 and stretched, would it have worked.I find it very hard to know when its in time.I'm a producer not a DJ. Thanks.

  • i cant find my presets in my cubase 5

  • I have a question.

I sometimes get these over laps when time stretching with the locaters.

For example I’ll have a track that’s at 116.17 BPM, and I want to stretch it to exactly 116 BPM; or 115; or 117; etc…

Anyway when I set the desired tempo (116) and then time stretch with the locater on a certain bar, it doesn’t always stretch to the exact point of the locater. Instead it over laps, or goes behind the locater a bit. Am I doing something wrong?

    Thank you for your time.

  • good, but you guys forgot to mention that this doesn't work with musical mode enabled on the clip. You need to turn off musical mode for timestretching to work.

  • @brianbotkiller Thanks for the tip. Good looking out!
