@america85353 Hi. I used regular asphalt roofing shingles for the houses that I build. They're available at all hardware stores. I use a 3-tab shingle. They come in a bundle and should run about $15-$17 per bundle. I made the legs out of pressure treated 2 x 4's. Thanks and good luck!

The plastic that I use for the entrance is plastic carpet runners that you can get at most any home building/hardware store. It's sold by the foot. Buy a couple of feet, use a ruler and a pair of scissors and cut vertical strips to fit the opening. You can also double it up and stagger the cuts to provide better insulation/protection from cold air and wind. Screw it into place and it can be replaced in a couple of years or whenever it wears out. Hope that helps!
