They do reuse costumes alot but why waste em right! I'm sure they are not cheap to make and with wardrobe busy worrying about making that weeks costumes the pros recycle dresses for time and to keep costs down imo anyway.
@danceyheart the only costume I recognise is Chelsea's. Julianne Hough wore it dancing the "Raunchy Rumba" with Chuck Wicks. Mind you I have missed a season or 2 lol which other costumes are being re-used?????
Yea I noticed the reuse of costumes too. Kym's dress is from one of Melissa Rycrofts routines, I think it was the cha cha. Karina has wore that dress before because I remember the controversy about it being see-thru (pause around 1:08 and you will see what I mean). I don't blame them though...these dresses are too pretty to be stuck away in a closet after only being worn once!
I would like to point out that DWTS likes to reuse costumes. If you look at Anna Demidova's dress it looks exactly like Shawn Johnson's when she did the Cha Cha to PYT. And Cheryl wears a lot of Julianne's costumes (just not in this dance, in a lot of other dances).
I must have missed this on TV. As beautiful as those women are, this was sort of disappointing. Once again, they're beautiful, but the synchronicity is off and Edyta has to wait for Kim (1:18) . Chelsea and Lacey are gorgeous, but I don't like Lacey's skirt for this dance at all. Oh well.
kiinda cool how these use old outfits for this performance...if you notice lacey wore part of that outfit for her samba with lance, karina wore that dress before, anna looks like she's wearing shawn johnson's dress from her cha cha, chelsie is wearing julianne's outfit from her rumba with chuck, and I thnk Kym is wearing Melissa's outfit that she wore for her cha cha last season....gotta recycle those dresses :)
I agree. I mean it wasn't bad per say, but it felt like there was very little dancing, it was a lot of posing and staring down the camera lens (which I hate). Again, not bad, just kind of ...blah.
