  • aren't there coyotes in Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx?? I actually saw one a week ago only 5 miles across the Bronx border in Westchester. In the past I've seen one on the Bronx River Parkway. Coyotes are very smart... they are around much more than they are spotted. I'm sure some ppl have just thought they were stray dogs.

  • Always something interesting going on in NY.

  • if i will be a coyote i will bite the cops just for coyote fun and instinct

  • She came from Jersey ran right through the Holland Tunnel holy shit thats one wiley coyote

  • @hyzercreek maybe she just took the PATH over from Jersey City.

  • Thank You NY Post.

  • Wow that limo driver has the yellowest teeth in the history of teeth.

  • @samsta001 Yes, someone get him some baking soda and whitening strips. ;)

  • @samsta001 - The coyote has cleaner teeth than him.

  • *sigh* calm down guys. They sedated it, brought it to an animal shelter, and are going to release it. Its knocked out cold. Really this isn't animal abuse, just an overreation on the news and police's part. Really u guys don't have anything better to report?

  • how is this nude

  • did the coyote died?

  • @fauxtwinny420

    Watch the video.

  • COPS killed the poor coyote.

  • That limo driver looks like he needs to be tranquilized more than the coyote does.

  • Is it dead

  • Poor thing!

  • Ok , first of all, they are all like he he he he, this was a she idiots. Second of all, if you were a coyote you would attack some random person going towards you too. And also, it disgusts me of how proud they are about attackng this poor coyote, let it free!

  • Why is this even news? I think one of the many children missing would have been better than this stuff.

  • Did she die?

  • It is bull*&%! that some of you who have posted responses have stated that coyotes are nasty. For all of you who think such, it is humanity that is nasty. Get your shit together. We all share this planet--with the loss of one species, another species will suffer. My God, some people are so damn ignorant.

  • @n00109094 I'm glad someone understands.

  • these animals are EVERYWHERE in south Texas where I live :)

  • Whoa you gotta watch out for those Coyote's, they are everywhere in NY

  • Coyotes dont do shit!! I encounterd one in Texas and its harmless but its still dangerous

  • Here in Tucson (a large city of a million people) Coyotes are a part of our landscaping. We hear them most nights. After all they were here before we were. Perhaps they belong here instead of us?

  • A coyote is nothin' in this city! Have you seen the size of the rats? HUGE rat problem, most of them are bigger than cats and scary as hell. I wish there were more coyotes to eat the rats, frankly...

  • I doubt a coyote would dare take on a NYC rat, in fact I'd bet it was a rat that chased the poor coyote into Manhattan in the first place.

  • Would've been nice if she ran into Bloomberg and bit him in the ass.

  • Its a good thing they caught the coyote. she might have run into a drug dealer... thats the real scary animal in NY. he heh heh

  • thanks

  • The oddest things really are found in the great NYC.. lol I love that place though. People are brutally honest there.. No holding back.. =-)

  • thanks God they didn't kill the coyote, Kudos for the NYC police dpt.

And for the idiots, its the world u know? WE ARE ALL ANIMALS ON THIS PLANET. Except other animals do NOT know the meaning of property limits, city and urban/rural areas, they just keep going in their own world NOT their fault. We share this planet.

When you go to the forest, you think "oh, this is the property of Mr Bear? no right, well and u have reason, they don't so never kill them, its their world too!

  • kudos

  • the Coyote def. came from brooklyn

  • Coyotes are no joke. They will eat your cats, your dogs, and if there are more than one of them hunting at the same time, they will maul a human if the human tries to run away.

  • @sweetbwaoy they wont eat a human. those small things are skiddish as hell. try living in a place where mountain lions roam the neighborhood.

  • @sweetbwaoy that's what 9mm hollowpoints and 12 gauge 00 buckshot are for :-D

  • great video

  • I commend the police for their humane approach to rescuing this scared creature. Kudos to you!

  • There are plenty of people in NYC that need to be in a cage, not cyotes.

  • @adroymusic lolz,thats true!

  • OMG, she looks dead!!! jerks set her free!

  • if they set her free in the city it could arm inocent people you jerk, It must be in his natural habitat

  • @MadMudProductions i realize that I'm a New Yorker:>) Why are you calling me a jerk...and why are you making an asumption that i mean in the city? My friend I think your the jerk not me... no class

  • @MadMudProductions classic ID

  • HAHA, omg. "New York's Coyote"?! Do they realize there are probably hundreds of them no one sees?

  • @zacharyworr - exactly - it's only when a Coyote is seen that it makes news in the btig city... considering that they live on the outskirts in good numbers - they probably dip in and out of town without being noticed all the time. I've seen one in the Bronx before.

  • he made out better in NYC than he would on the prairie, they'd blast her ass.

  • no tranquilizers in the middle of the country

  • god forbid there be a non-human LIVING CREATURE in new york city!

  • yeah we need wild predators roaming nyc.
