I have some question about psychology:

(1) Why do we love flying?

(2) Why do we want to design new airship in this "jet-age"?

(3) What is the enjoyment to fly airships comparing with aeroplanes?

(4) Why do we like to draw beautiful plantings on airships?

@applesweeter ...well to answer your first inquiry "For once you have tasted flight, you will walk with your eyes turned skyward. For there you have been; for there you long to return." --Leonardo da Vinci.

The only other explanation that enters my mind at this moment, regarding the other questions, is that many people wish to savor the excitement of the flight along with the scenic landscape. The same reason that there are sometimes "scenic" routes in certain areas of the United States.

I think we love flying because its the only thing we can't really do naturally. you know we can swim, we can run, we can climb, but we cannot fly so making these new flying machines allows us to enter a new state of transportation that is naturally impossible.

@MedicDoc101 well you can do that with airplanes. I think the nostalgia and the attraction to airships is that they are so elegant and peacefull, airplanes are a bit brutish and hard, while airships are more peacefull, something that is a bit outside thi world.
