i had this treatment 4 days ago........no pain, no problems. the only downside is the stocking you have to wear afterwards.........not the prettiest thing to wear!!!!
Find someone who knows what they are doing. Sotradecol is the only FDA approved solution, at this point. It should be use as a mild solution <0.2% depending in spider vein size. Hypertonic saline can cause ulcerations. Not usually covered by insurance. Best is used in small size, superficial veins (spider or talenjectasis <1mm). Rarely used or effective on large varicose veing and oly used on superficial veins. Hopes it helps.
Be Warned!!I had sclerotherapy and ended up in the ER 5 days later with DVT and had emergency surgery to stip the vein from groin to knee. I was previously healthy and subsequent tests showed no pre disposition to clotting. I am still experiencing clots in my calf and am on blood thinners and have had scans for clots in the lungs.Ensure you go to a vascular specialist if you are thinking of this procedure.

I got a horrible bruise that turned into a Open Ulcer on my leg. This happened years ago and I still have a scar that looks like an indentation ( Shark Bite) way bigger than the little vein that I wanted gone. There is not way to fix my Scar I wish I had never gotten the Proceedure done. Im sure this does not ahppen often I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone considering this. If I were to go back in time I would just apply make-up to the veins. Ok Hope this helps

yeah there's alot of cream for varicose veins but didn't effect on my veins. Instead get's worse and worse......I am here looking and researching how I can find to rid of this spider and varicose on my legs... I think this is the 1 of my solution... Can anybody experience this procedure?????????? Is it really worth it to undergo to this sclerotherapy????????? please ans.... thanks!
@zuzukiyaki I had the Lazer procedure following with sclerotherapy and everything is going very well. My Dr. very professional and always careful I have just litle pain I take 600 MG tab. 1 per day and thank God everything is going well.
Phlebology is new medical field, not a piggy-bag of other medical practices. Considering complexity of vein problems, it requires a full-time attention. New treatments require placing patient in different positions. Full-power table (multipositional) is among the basic needs of a vein clinic. Patients can take shower and cont. routine activities same day. Any center that treats vein problems, must be equiped with vascular ultrasound. Without ultrasound, it cannot be called a vein center.
