at the bottom of the screen, the arrow and number underneath it are direction and distance to the transmitter, so you know which way and how far to fly to return to the runway. if the distance gets too far (he stated it was set at 1200 mieters) the plane will, depending on settings, either autopilot back to base, or auger in (full throttle straight into the ground) for safety reasons.

setting up a flight simulator station in your room with a huge radio antenna boosting the signal out of your house with a camera that transmits via sattellite or something.. allowing you to fly all across the entire country using a computer monitor and joystick! (imagine that turbine jet engine RC plane that's on youtube, you could actually do it :P)

because that dot is the camera's input sensor being overloaded with light at that point

the black spot is where the actual sun is (that's how big the sun would appear when viewed on earth, if there was no glow / bloom), hence why the camera's lense can't record it properly, and everywhere around it is just light eminating off it

I just ordered presumably the same fpv setup that you have. I am a beginner at fpv and I was wondering if it is easy to get the whole fpv setup to run off your main battery?

@charpsteve36 if your camera and video transmitter runs with 3s it's no problem, if the camera needs 5V plug it to the BEC of the ESC

Or use separate batteries, heavier but no motor noise for sure

From what I can understand, on the middle left side of the screen is the plane speed, the middle bottom of the screen shows the direction you're in & how far away the plane is from you, the bottom right is the time, just to the left of the distance from you is the fuel gauge, what is everything else?

left side: current draw (sensor not used in this flight, fuel gauge is not working without current sensor), battery voltage

@2point0L It is because he is using a wireless camera and he is broadcasting the signal back to a recording device that feeds the the picture to the glasses. The distance is so large up to 1200m that interference occurs which is why the picture can seem distorted at times

Just like driving a car, but at the first flights I couldn't "feel" the velocity, afterwards you know it if the rudders are hard or soft.

The problem is to be able to handle the technology, needs MUCH time!

there's a lot of interference showing up on the vid. i think it could help if you used a different frequency, but that would mean you'd have to use a different transmitter, right?

No it's no interference, just a weak signal because I don't use an external patch antenna.
