Evice kicked my ass the first time I fought him, mainly because I had no idea what I was doing, but also because my pokemon were like, lvl 40-49 and his were 55-63
This was a fun game, unless you battle him with an entire team of Rayquazas, then you are a noob. But it's still fun and added some nice mixtures to the game, such as stealing shadow pokemon back and catching them while it's a double battle
Pokemon Colossum and XD Were the only games I liked from pokemon series. At the moment I hate poke games, but if nintendo come back with another game with shadow pokemon, I'll buy it.
@BlueJirachi Ghetis was hard!!!!! T_T I lost to him like 100000000000000000000 times before leveling up my team and going back XD But the f-ing badass colosseum mayor was pretty damn hardcore XDDD Though he shoulda had something more awesome than a Tyranitar....xD
@Superfalconman2 Yeah but then what would Miror B give you in Gale of Darkness in the end? XD I was thinkin' he should have the Ho-Oh or a Celebi and Mount Battle would give you whichever he didn't. I mean it'd make more sense to be able to obtain Celebi in that game without a Japanese bonus disk.....XD
@animelover101591 to be honest, I've never played XD gale of darkness, so I didn't know that you get a dragonite. oh well, it's not really a spoiler or anything. :D

I recommend Gale of Darkness, and my friend loved it when I lent it to him; I don't remember if he ever completed it But I remember some of the comments he made at points. Lol It's a good game, a good sequel to Colosseum. Find it somewhere and I know you'll enjoy it ^^

@pokemaniacxander Colosseum were important in the story since Cipher were using them to distribute Shadow Pokémon. That's why it's called Pokémon Colosseum, and also to continue the Pokémon stadium series.

My attack plan:Level 51 Raikou and Level 50 Typholsion against level 60s bastards....I thought I was hopelessly outmatched, then Raikou used the Rain Dance/Thunder combo on all but Scizor, and Typholsion mopped up the floor with Scizor. Master Ball for Tyranitar, and that was a wrap. EASY.
Evice...was...a prick. We were about 20 levels under him and he owned us time and time again. I refused to give up, and kept retrying. God knows how many times I attempted to beat that prick. His Scizor killed me so many times with silver wind. After about 20+ attempts, maybe more, we caught his shadow Pokemon and beat him. The credits played, and I felt a sense of triumph I haven't felt since.
As soon as the battle against Nascour began, with no music playing, I saw his drastically over levelled Pokemon and realised we were f***ed. Victory seemed impossible, so we gave up. A while later, my step brother started a new file. I said "Good luck with that" and went off to do something else. Then this conversation occured.
Step Brother: I beat Nascour.
Me: 8O
I ran into the room and met Evice, the final battle music played, and I prepared for battle.
I loved this game but damn it was hard when I was a kid! I took me god knows how many files to beat this game. 1st file I was inredibly young. I was up to the bit where you have to go into Miror B's lair, but couldn't find the cave because it's off screen, so I gave up and left the game to gather dust. Several years later my step borhter Corey started his own file and found the cave, so the adventure continued.
@RedM555 Me and my step brother tore through the game, then came to that guy with the Raiku, can't remember his name. He tore us apart several times so he kept starting new files, working our way throught he game with different Pokemon, and losing again. After several more files we finally beat him and were overcome with joy! Then we battled up Cipher's tower, defeating the admins in difficult battles, and met Gonzap.
@RedM555 What an epic battle we had against Gonzap. The 1st time we lost, 2nd time the recoil from shadow rush gave us a draw, 3rd time we whooped his ass! Then we came across our greatest challenge so far.
Game: Battle these 4 or 5 trainers in a row without a break.
Me: Say wha?
Yeah, it didn't end well. After many, many more tries we finally got to Nascour, after wasting the master ball on either Tropius or Tryanitar, can't remember.
@crazywelshkid XD was hard for me because of the cipher grunts and made me go to the healling center after every battle with one grunt the leaders were easy and colosseum the grunts and bosses were too easy because of umbreon toxic+confuse ray combo
@RadiantSocks This and Pokémon XD. Cipher were totally talking about eliminating everyone in order for Cipher to survive :O The grunts, Pokémon, and YOU!
@RadiantSocks I'm tired of all those warcraft games that basement dwellers play and that are like nowdays flag of videogames. I would like to shove games like Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda in the nose of TV networks, so they understand that is this games that make the industry thrive. There's so much creativity and thought in all Nintendo games, I doubt any other developer could do what Nintendo does, they can't even make up their own weapons like Metroid does, they all just use real guns.
Is the protagonist's name Wes, or is that just one of the choices you get? I mean, we all know May's name, but in Ruby, "May" wasn't a premade name for her when you pick her to play as. So I'm not sure who the cool guy with the goggles is.

@JShawtyKim yeah my first time was reall bad, but it was when i had just started playing pokemon, which is why i sorta turned to cheats as we all have to agree, its a rather time consuming game.
ah i remember this final fight. My friend could not beat his slaking; he went and de-shadowed/trained his meditite to a medicham, level 60. took him three days to do to finally get that slaking down. I hit it with two psychic's from a level 50-ish Espeon and it was down. Needless to say, he was pissed XD

I hated this guy so much..I figured lets use the Master Ball on Metagross just because its huge and you couldn't lower its defense...well that was a mistake because the damn Tyranitar wouldn't stay in the ball either..it was the worst battle ever...lol epic fail on myself.
Colosseum was better than both XD and Battle Revolution. But what I want to know is when are they just going to make a game like HG/SS on a console in 3-D? Seriously I'd totally buy a 3D version of Silver. On a side notw, speaking of 3D pokemon games I wonder when the next console game will be.
@ShukakuTheCrazy1 It's not the same. It's still a handheld and besides I have great reservations about spending $300 on a handheld system. The 'original' Xbox360's cost less than that, WITH a harddrive.
@ShadowSoldior good point. I get the feeling most next gen stuff will be like pokemon: some people like it and others dont, but we mostly still think the original PWNs the newer stuff.

I'll be buying Black and White when they come out, and in many years when Pokemon: [Insert name of Mineral or Color] comes out I'll probably buy that too, and any that come out between. But yeah, the new gen sucks a dick, the only reason I liked HG/SS was because it was literally just a copy of G/S/C with better graphics, more stuff to do and more legendaries to catch.
@ShadowSoldior same. I was playing pokemon red during a break in one of my college classes. Some of the newer pokemon arent that bad, its all the other sucky ones that drag them down (combee. the instant I saw that I knew they ran out of ideas. though vespiqueen isnt that bad)
@ShukakuTheCrazy1 They can never truly run out of ideas. All they have to do is throw together some new designs and give them some fake-named powers that do basically the same thing as other attacks and there we are, new pokemon. They just need to hire new people each time to come up with concepts.

@ShadowSoldior Yeah, I've seen Mijumaru. Its sucks, but its final form makes up for that. Pokabu's evolved forms are TERRIBLE (makes Mijumaru look good). Tsutarja looks like the best choice (even though its middle evolution looks a little overly feminine)

I'm thinking that my 6th pokemon should be either Flygon, Heracross or Skarmory. I'm leaning more towards Heracross, because he's very strong and I don't have any fighting or bug pokemon on my team yet. But I want to get everyone else's opinion.
Note: I want to keep Legendaries off my team. So, no Entei, Suicune, or Raikou. But Pseudo legendaries are okay.
@DevilRebellion maybe you should try something like Gengar. Its speed and power make up for your teams somewhat lack of speed. and its power and its ability to learn a good 60% of moves in the game make up for it also. if you want outta those 3, go with heracross because he is powerful, but beware of his weaknesses to fire, flying, and psychic. if you can teach it the right moves, and make up for its spped and lack of defenses, go for it.

@RadiantSocks I'm tired of all those warcraft games that basement dwellers play and that are like nowdays flag of videogames. I would like to shove games like Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda in the nose of TV networks, so they understand that is this games that make the industry thrive. There's so much creativity and thought in all Nintendo games, I doubt any other developer could do what Nintendo does, they can't even make up their own weapons like Metroid does, they all just use real guns.

Is the protagonist's name Wes, or is that just one of the choices you get? I mean, we all know May's name, but in Ruby, "May" wasn't a premade name for her when you pick her to play as. So I'm not sure who the cool guy with the goggles is.

I remember my first time beating this game.
I was a really cheesy kid back then, so i HAD to end the game with Espeon and Umbreon, but Umbreon was 10 levels under what it should have been.....
Determined, I spent a good 4 hours straight trying to beat that fat mayor dude with an Umbreon with Faint attack as its STAB.
I almost peed when I beat him.

ah i remember this final fight. My friend could not beat his slaking; he went and de-shadowed/trained his meditite to a medicham, level 60. took him three days to do to finally get that slaking down. I hit it with two psychic's from a level 50-ish Espeon and it was down. Needless to say, he was pissed XD
i loved this game, one of the best pokemon games ever imo

I hated this guy so much..I figured lets use the Master Ball on Metagross just because its huge and you couldn't lower its defense...well that was a mistake because the damn Tyranitar wouldn't stay in the ball either..it was the worst battle ever...lol epic fail on myself.

Colosseum was better than both XD and Battle Revolution. But what I want to know is when are they just going to make a game like HG/SS on a console in 3-D? Seriously I'd totally buy a 3D version of Silver. On a side notw, speaking of 3D pokemon games I wonder when the next console game will be.

@ShukakuTheCrazy1 It's not the same. It's still a handheld and besides I have great reservations about spending $300 on a handheld system. The 'original' Xbox360's cost less than that, WITH a harddrive.

@ShukakuTheCrazy1 I'm not embarrassed to admit I still play the pokemon games. I'll be buying Black and White when they come out, and in many years when Pokemon: [Insert name of Mineral or Color] comes out I'll probably buy that too, and any that come out between. But yeah, the new gen sucks a dick, the only reason I liked HG/SS was because it was literally just a copy of G/S/C with better graphics, more stuff to do and more legendaries to catch.

@ShadowSoldior same. I was playing pokemon red during a break in one of my college classes. Some of the newer pokemon arent that bad, its all the other sucky ones that drag them down (combee. the instant I saw that I knew they ran out of ideas. though vespiqueen isnt that bad)

@ShukakuTheCrazy1 They can never truly run out of ideas. All they have to do is throw together some new designs and give them some fake-named powers that do basically the same thing as other attacks and there we are, new pokemon. They just need to hire new people each time to come up with concepts.

@ShadowSoldior Yeah, I've seen Mijumaru. Its sucks, but its final form makes up for that. Pokabu's evolved forms are TERRIBLE (makes Mijumaru look good). Tsutarja looks like the best choice (even though its middle evolution looks a little overly feminine)

@Ray01Geogeass I like it because its a great way to see your pokemon in 3D without having to go through an extensiive storyline and trading back and forth...But yeah the no storyline was a bit of a bummer but I kinda like not having to plow through a 3rd storyline for the console pokemon games if you know what I mean.

But anyway your right the 3d part was kinda good for one of the first pokemon games on wii. But I don't like the fact that they don't have the brains to make a game like FireRed,LeafGreen,Yellow,XD,Colisseum,Emerald,Ruby,Saphire,Diamond,Pearl,Platnum,or black and white for that matter on the wii. I mean really didn't they do on n64? It'd be one step closer for pokemon to regain it's former glory am I right

I want to know what people think of my pokemon team for this game:
-Meganium
-Typhlosion
-Feraligatr
-Tyranitar
-Metagross
-??????????
I'm thinking that my 6th pokemon should be either Flygon, Heracross or Skarmory. I'm leaning more towards Heracross, because he's very strong and I don't have any fighting or bug pokemon on my team yet. But I want to get everyone else's opinion.
Note: I want to keep Legendaries off my team. So, no Entei, Suicune, or Raikou. But Pseudo legendaries are okay.

@DevilRebellion maybe you should try something like Gengar. Its speed and power make up for your teams somewhat lack of speed. and its power and its ability to learn a good 60% of moves in the game make up for it also. if you want outta those 3, go with heracross because he is powerful, but beware of his weaknesses to fire, flying, and psychic. if you can teach it the right moves, and make up for its spped and lack of defenses, go for it.
