  • Magnifico 6 un vero mito 6 uno da stimare profondamente

  • why doesnt my piano do that :(

  • excellent! I love how with each repeat he slightly changes the intensity. This effect really helps the piece to move. I love this performance!

  • true musicianship

  • Better than pop.

  • minchia!

  • a beautiful man plays on a beautiful piano beautifully

  • And then they say that classical music has nothing to do with thrash metal...:)

  • Daaamn...

  • why the fck is their dislikes on this video or a dislike button for that matter -.-

  • @MrTacoboy89 Because he loses it. Listen carefully

  • @ivelosthewilltolive i dont think i have ever heard vladimir horowitz play without making at least 1 mistake per piece. he was still arguably the greatest pianist in the last 100 years. technicality is important, but not nearly as important as how you play it. to say that tiempo 'loses' this piece shows a great lack of understanding about music. even marta argerich (the most technically gifted pianist ever?) has made mistakes in the full flow of this piece.

  • did you know that Chopin wrote all his preludes while he had gone insane? Everything makes sense now, you would have to be insane to write something that fast.

  • Comment removed

  • AMEN! ;)

  • the question of what the preludes are actual preludes to seems to be a simple answer. its the Etudes. i believe each prelude is a prequel to the etude in its key. listen to no.20 in C minor then listen to op.25 no.12 in C minor. listen to no.23 in F major then op.10 no.8 in F major. the similarities are to close to be a coincidence.

  • MY GOODNESS! This is incredible. Beautiful song.

  • MARAVILHOSO!!!!!!!!!!

  • what I find amazing about him is, that he does this simple beautiful musical things that other pianists seem to leave out.. they are so focused on other things that most of the time the dynamics is missing... he's beautiful

  • Mario Lopez is so good at playing Chopin!

  • iuyrf78vywarvuiyhaeu iaewehf uiwaefuiaerfh auisefausdfuefh awuief awuefhfh wauiefawuiefh uawe yuwiefy awurguiaer ugjhdfie j iuoer hur uegueheh ieu

  • Jim Morrison! :D

  • @Pavle245 hahaa!! yeah

  • i WILL be able to play this piece, maybe not as good as him, before i die. i'm only 18 so i think i have plenty of time to learn it!

  • Deeeaaaaaaaaaanngg.

  • sounds better a disabled veterans... =) I joke =)

  • sexy hair.

  • Like Argerich he's playing as if breaking speed records is the most important thing in this piece. Perhaps he comes first over the finish line, but the result is a grey mass of notes where many details are lost, the left hand just plays "some" accompaniment. Of course it should be played very fast, but also very rhythmically and Chopin indicates a continuous *accelerando* on the last page, which makes it much more exciting than when you're already at top speed. I miss the music!

  • @argyronauta It does get a little blurry in the middle, and I agree that the left hand could've had way more force behind it - see Kissin's interpretation, so good! But I think his right hand is way more expressive and overall the feeling is more exciting.

    And he's gorgeous, too :D

  • This is certainly the most difficult Chopin's prelude.

  • I would like to see this filmed with a high-speed camera :D

  • chopin is one of my best composer.

    16 is my lucky number..

and this is an excellent combination!

  • This is a difficult piece, props!

  • Sergio always amazed me with his ability to play the piano excellently!

  • Comment removed

  • this song is rediculously hard. i've been playing piano for 13 years and its taken me 2 months to memorize and i still can't play it at full speed. plus chopin had freaking mickey mouse hands!

  • sup lily

  • aah, love Steinways <3

  • i am frightened and disturbed.

  • Just ridiculous... Very good technique but just without charm... How can people play Chopin like that, without POETRY !

  • @WisShesify You'll be happy to know the title is 'Hades' ... Know who that is?

  • @Tzsil713 So I'm so glad that u just let me know the name of that prelude...

Seriously, u thought I didn't know the name of that piece? I knew it.

Up to me to ask u something... Do u know Dante and the Divine Comedy?

  • @WisShesify Written by Alejandro in the common Italian street language so everyone else could read literature?

  • @Tzsil713 Maybe, I don't know all the Italian literature.

But the point is that Hades doesn't mean without poetry...

  • @Tzsil713 Chopin didnt give it a subtitle

  • @WisShesify u know shit!

  • @Cooller1993 Very constructive commentary, thank's a lot !

First learn to make some interesting sentence, and then come talk to me. Or else just don't say anything. Bye.

  • @WisShesify its senseless to discuss with someone who dont know how to play piano

  • very similar to Argerichs

  • What the fuck did i just watch,its....its....TOO FAST!

  • @DerGeckarbor i think it isnt too fast..it is one of, or its the most virtuose piece of chopins work...

  • D:

  • this guys a genius. Ive been searching forever, for a particular tune/song, heard it on a cruise i was on last, i think its liberace or chopin, or liberace doing chopin, it sounds similar to this but a little slower

  • this guys a genius. Ive been searching forever, for a particular tune/song, heard it on a cruise i was on last, i think its liberace or chopin, or liberace doing chopin, it sounds similar to this but a little slower

  • yes i can totally learn this song just from watching the video.

  • Well, a bit too fast.

  • What the!? *jaw drop

  • O.O'' uh.. what i was gona say?

  • wow i din't knwo this was posible o play

  • Somewhat too fast at the cost of articulation I would say. If one wants to show how fast one can play, try some studies by Alkan.

  • im trying to learn this. its not difficult as far as complexity goes. in fact, it is pretty simple - just scales in one hand, and intervals in the other.

what makes it hard is the speed and accruacy.

  • @classicalnut1 ,...hahaha this is one of the hardest pieces and you call it simple???

  • @arturon111

Think he means it's not a complex piece to interpret or learn. AKA it's easy to pick up and play quickly. Chopin's pieces are mostly like that - written for the pianist. That said it's difficult to bring it up to speed while keeping the right dynamic modulations or even the right notes lol

  • @NathanPlano I disagree with you completely this prelude and most of Chopin's large piano pieces are incredibly difficult and complex, and take many years to play them well. Play well means having a cantabile and legato sound, playing them at speed, bringing out the counterpoing, and voicings, and in addtion to mastering the above dealing with the spiritual side of the compostions. and projecting the meaning to an audience. VERY DIFFICULT

  • @arturon111 Well you can say all of that about any piece. I only meant that it's not harmonically complex really. I think we only disagree on the meaning of the word difficult. This one is technically difficult but I still maintain that compared to other composers or other Chopin pieces there's not much voicing or counterpoint going on here. Otherwise I agree with you completely

  • @NathanPlano I still disagree, Chopin's voice leading is very complex and quite perfect, Chopin himself was a devoted student of Bach and all Chopin's compositions are 4 voices

  • @arturon111 I'm pretty sure Chopin did not write all his compositions with 4 voices

  • @NathanPlano i can guarantee you that and not only EVERY composition Chopin wrote was written with polyphony and 4 part writing but he was excellent at it. He is practically perfect at 4 part writing. And I mean ALL his compositions

  • O.M.F.G.

  • wonderful (audio too)

  • this is really not that hard, scales

  • I hope that this won't be the future of piano playing. One does not need to go a long way to find a better version of this prelude, for example Mei-Ting Sun at Warszaw 2005 on YT, where all the notes are clearly heard (and it only lasts a couple of seconds longer)

  • how does he have a EMI recording deal? unbelievable

  • @dkurgano You think he should sign on with Deutche Grammaphon instead?

  • Wonderful played, respect. Even if at 0:30 to 0:33 not that transparent in the right hand.

  • OMG this video is totally absurd ! this video should end with standing ovation!

  • HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

  • great tempo!!!! like!

  • i bet he can txt v fast

  • I feeling like something is lost in this interpretation. Much like Argerich's, there is a sense of rushing through it. He is damn sexy though.

  • Pff, he's just lucky..

  • Marry meee ! :D

  • vorrei dire due cose ai gentili 25 che hanno espresso il loro parere negativo su questo video .... VOI SIETE PAZZI !!!!!! Grandissima esecuzione !!!! siete invidiosi !!!

  • WOW!!! Astonishing!!!

  • i just came

  • lol i'm learning this on guitar for an audition piece to berklee.

  • ticly tickly tickly!

  • Mi viene da piangere... mi sento una formica schiacciata, davanti a così tanta bravura!!!!!!!!

  • This is Chopin's version of "The flight of the bumblebee". If you think again, Rimsky was late to this world!

  • wow... such flair!

  • la vérité est dans ces notes

  • too much left hand...

  • wow this is not only fast. it's so liquid!

  • oh. my. god.

  • He is so awesome!

I wonder how long it took him to play it like this. o.o

  • Technique isn't everything - the moment you listen to Pollini's rendition of the preludes you will realize how mediocre this really is...

  • Immense. Waw.

  • from Argerich student could we expect something worse?

  • @GlimpseInTheLife Yes, we could. But he is great

  • mi favorita, sin duda!!!

  • Oh hell no! When they say it's considered to be the most difficult of all of his preludes, they weren't kidding

  • i just came

  • i wish i could play like that !

  • exceptionnel!!!

  • that is the sexiest thing i've ever seen in my life.

  • @BatcaveDilemma

    you read my mind..

  • So wonderful!

  • Absolutely amazing.

  • Oh my god!! Sergio is a genius!!

  • A one minute piece is way harder than it looks

  • I´d like to know how often he played it every day :-)

I have to play it today on a concert - but I can´t play it as fast as he does ;-) I need 1:30 min.

He did a very very good job!

He did a very very good job!

  • Well, he certainly lives up to his name.

  • Bit mechanistic. I suppose that's because he is under the guidance of the great piano mechanic Argerich. How people haven't see through this pianist is beyond me. I am not sure what Chopin was trying to pull with this one. It seems to sound better played more slowly. This sounds more like a study anyway. At least it is better than Tiempo's supposedly great mentor's effort

  • @DAVIDFREDERICKROY What are you sniveling about? This prelude's marking is Presto con fuoco. I'm sure you know what it means. And some say Chopin actually COULD play piano and was highly acclaimed virtuoso, who sometimes happened to want to play fast and flamboyant pieces.

And about Argerich - if you have any complaints after listening to her playing Ravel's Ondine or Piano Concerto in G, there's nothing can be done - you're either deaf or soulless.

  • @pepijagarzekje Yes I believe Chopin could play the piano a little. Chopin is my favourite composer-apart from the fact that I think he could have produced more but his health was a major issue and he was mostly into teaching. Argerich-I am sorry....you will just have to say deaf(in one ear anyway) and soulless. Arrogant, mechanistic, overly technical, oversped and some pretty strange notions of what constitutes music. I prefer an amateur with some some feeling to an oversped technician.

  • @DAVIDFREDERICKROY

Actually, Didnt he go on a major tour across europe on his last legs?

  • @TheKeenanBoy I think he went to England. He was supported by a couple of British Ladies. They were very kind to him-it practically killed him though. All he wanted to do was go home. He played for Queen Victoria...she barely noticed him.

Poor Sod-all that talent snuffed out. Nowadays,he would have probably been treatable. Tuberculosis is still around though.

  • ffasssst

  • @fabbaa oh cool thanks for the info.

  • How old was he?

  • 1 question. Why isn't this an etude?

  • Bravo Sergio!

  • yeaaa i can play thisssss

  • amazing!!!

  • he played it better than any other pianists !!

  • *_* Love it

  • what is the name of this guy?

  • his name is Sergio Tiempo :)

  • wtf.... fag >=(

  • fuck trying to learn that.

  • @LoftyProduction Scales. :)

  • @LoftyProduction learn the rite hand first and get very familiar with the key signature. once your muscle memory has taken over the rite hand you can focus on leaps in left hand. remember, these preludes were improvisations/warm ups by chopin

  • @anonymousQ45 lol, prelude in g minor by rachmaninoff is just about my limit before my hands fall off.

  • @LoftyProduction is that the alla marcia prelude? you can do these chopin preludes they just take slow practice

  • @anonymousQ45 yeah, the alla marcia one is ... very difficult. I believe that only a selected few people are able to play this piece, and play it well. I sadly am not one of these people lol.

  • @LoftyProduction it takes big hands

  • @anonymousQ45 it does indeed! I can play about half of prelude in g, although I'm thinking of giving up soon.

  • ooooommmmmgggggg

  • This is MAGNIFICENT. It sounds like he's achieved perfection with this piece

  • He has what most pianists clearly lack. robust flair, spontaneous sensitivity, and breathtaking gusto!

  • whaaaaaat?!

  • good job !!

  • amazing....and thats one big piano

  • such great dynamic controll! bravo!

  • un genio.........

  • I'm learning this piece now. I can't wait to have it completely polished. It really is an impressive piece to play.

  • He plays it exactly like Martha Argerich his teacher i think. exactly the same interpretation......very funny^^

ahh u can find the version from argerich aswell here...ehm the quality isnt so good but its okay =)

  • he posseses a very good technique

hes playing very clear and not so clumsy at top-speed

    very good =)

  • perfect!

  • develop technique and practice, then you will.

  • bellisima

  • caricama! can you play it better?

  • @adun81 I certainly know people who can do WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY BETTER THAN THAT.

  • I can't believe he's a student of Martha Argerich. He misses so many notes, he blurs most of the parts with pedal appliance, and abuses rubato to cover up his mistakes and incapability to follow up the tempo. INCOMPETENT. He's either too young to have developed into someone recognizable, or he's just a failure. I'm sorry, my friend.

  • @caricama Please post your version. Please post links to your albums.Thx.

  • @throwaway69247 Let me put it this way. Since the retarded youtube's new comment regulatiosn won't let me put down the links, look for the following people's recordings: Pollini, Pogorelich, Kissin, Sokolov, and of course, Argerich.

Maybe, IF Tiempo really, really, reeaallyyy works hard, he may do something similar to those. Enjoy.

  • @caricama

Only talking is not enough.. He is so young and found it easy to present himself..

He is good enough for you to shut up..

There will always be someone even better of your believes, but you will not even hear for him/her in your entire life..

P.S. Give the greeting to one young pianist, that is doing good.. After 5 years he will be better, and after five more he will be great...

And about you - I can say that you are hater... He can play this prelude, even if you cannot believe it...

  • @TheVanscrew I'm not saying he has no future. I find some not-very-pleasing interpretations done by renowned pianists, and I still improvements in them over time. Tiempo, obviously needs to musically mature, and I'm pointing out that "immature" part of his music. In his interviews, he says that he is more attracted to Romantic pieces. I was like that in the early years of my own music life. Rubato and pedals seemed to solve all problems.

  • @TheVanscrew But Tiempo needs to learn that they don't before he starts to believe his music is so much better than others'. I'd say he is so not good enough to shut me up. Thank you.

  • I prefer it a tad slower.

  • wow he ruined the piano

  • Love the bass oompas towards the end

  • speechless

  • Bardzo Pięknie Bardzo Kocham Muzykę 5*****

  • 5***** 5***** 5***** 5***** 5*****

  • DECENT INTO HELL - THAT IS THE WORD! Hans von Bulow was so right about this!

  • Most excellent. Not quite as good, or dynamic as Evgeny Kissin...but great still. I did enjoy the clarity a lot. Quite a good recording.

  • This is not a '''song''

  • oh, crud! I would die after i could play this song!

  • El video debería decir "cerrá la boca" cuando termina, porque es casi imposible no verlo con la boca abierta de asombro...

  • ..what??

  • versione quasi perfetta

  • wow he it is sooo fast!!!! 0.0 :O

  • Takes 59 seconds to play it. Takes 15 years of experienced technique to learn it. wonderfull.

  • How easy to play it... takes just 20 years of study, some 8 hours a day... :-)
