  • There are about 3500 calories in one pound. That means if you are 500 calories under per day, you will lose a perfectly fine 1 pound per week. Why? Because 500 calories below each day, multiplied by 7 days in a week, equals 3500 total calories under for the week. And, 3500 calories under equals about 1 pound of weight lost. The same goes for weight gain. If you are 500 above each day, you'll gain a perfectly fine 1 pound per week.

  • very well done. this is important information. thanks!

  • I'm going to try the Fat Smash and P90X with you. I'll start the tomorrow. Thanks for inspiring me.

  • I never look that good after a workout! LOL. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks. You can expect me to look two steps away from death when I start the P90X workouts. lol

  • You're doing really well!! Are you still nursing? I just wanted to know what effect it has on your milk.

  • Yep, still nursing. I plan to for another 3 months. So far, no noticeable changes in my supply. The baby doesn't seem any more fussy than normal and no increased feeding. But it's only been 4 days. Hopefully it'll continue this way.

  • Good luck on the detox! Not to be a downer, but I did a detox (Lemonade Cleanse) and lost a lot of weight... But THEN a FEW WEEKS LATER I gained 6 pounds seemingly overnight. It was weird. And I wasn't eating junk food or a bad diet. My body just overcompensated for the detox. :(

  • No downer. I know what you mean about the Master Cleanse/Lemonade diet. I initially wanted to start my journey with that. But figured it wouldn't be a good idea while breastfeeding. I was going to do the lemonade detox purely for the "restarting" benefit. Weight lost would've been a bonus, but not my objective. The "detox" I'm doing know isn't the same type of thing. It kinda just gets you used to eating fruits, veggies, whole grains, and such. Strips away added sugars and fats.
