He stabbed 17 people in just a couple minuets if he knew where to stab all would have bleed to death in two minuets. A school hall between class think of how many he could have stabbed.

Self defense, and self preservation is a right, and RESPONSIBILITY of all people. There are people in the world who will hurt or kill others to get what they want. Police response times are larger than the time it takes to commit a crime. We never know when a crime will occur. Weapons are equalizers that allow us to compensate for size and strength.

Take the UK as a test case for your theory. Crime across the board has increased, while on average firearm crime has not particularly been affected. It is to the point where they are talking about confiscating kitchen knives.
The state cannot protect you from a first time offense from a felon. It can only protect you from a second time offense by locking up a felon and throwing away the key, or if the offense is bad enough, by terminating the offender. I wish that we lived in a world where everyone followed the rules, and the government could keep law and order on its own. That however is not a reality we currently live in, and crime must be dealt with as a whole rather than gun crime, or rape or robbery.
The day will come when the Supreme Court of the U.S.A. will rule that over resrictive gun laws is an infringment and a civil rights violation just as if(example) voting booths were over restricted in a way to allow only American with jobs to use those voting booths.
Another thing I noticed (correct me if I'm wrong), is that Hamm used "uh" and "um" much more than Cooper did. Also I noticed Hamm seemed to have paused and studdered a bit. Hamm said, "be protected... uh, be prohibited from getting guns" "... they won't even admit.....uh,they won't even say they support the Brady law..." .
He has spiteful looks, does not speak quite as clearly as the reporter and Cooper, and his flow of speech is not very smooth. He does not sound very intelligent.

Mr. Cooper was polite and maintained good character. While his opponent was speaking his side of the issue, Cooper listened and waited his turn to resolve the issue through intellectual means, much unlike Hamm's childish gestures

what is interesting is that in US v Miller they said that a sawed off shotgun has no military use. but what about people owning
m-16's, m-4's, SAW's, m-14's, tatical shotguns, handguns etc because thoese clearly have military uses and are used in our military today
