@EveningFantasy Oh, it's called a "haramaki" and it is an extra layer that goes around... that part of the body, keeping it warmER in winter. As I don't heat my apartment, having that on makes a big difference.

this reminded me of some crazy pan they showed on a cooking show. its rectangular and there are 2 buttons on the handle. when the eggs have turned solid enough, you press one button and 1/3 would fold onto the middle. then you press the other button to do the other side. HAH, Genius!

Actually, not necessarily. It doesn't have to go against bare skin, Jen. They wear them for layers these days and also to show bits of colour. So, were I going out, I would wear one shirt, the haramaki over it, then another shorter shirt over that and the colour would be seen. See how it works? Do I have to teach you EVERYTHING about fashion? Sheesh! Good thing I love you!

Make it Kewpie Japanese mayo and you will never go back to any other mayo again! I even mail bottles of it to my friends they love it so much! It is totally different from any other mayo anywhere else in the world that I have tasted.

I had no idea that Japanese Mayo was different than what is sold in other countries. If it's different and better that might explain why I've heard for years that the Japanese love to put it on everything. I think I'm going to have to search my local asian markets to find some Kewpie Japanese mayo.

Anyway, thanks for telling me it's different. I wouldn't have known otherwise! :)
