I miss this logo! It always brings back memories of films from the 70's and 80's that I love such as "Saturday Night Fever","Grease", "Flashdance", "Footloose", the Star Trek films and Friday The 13th films
If you ask me, I think the shot of the mountain before it turns blue should've been the one used for TV from 1975 to 1987 instead of the blue mountain logo. They could've had the stars appear from left to right with the word "Paramount" and the "A Gulf+Western Company" fading in kind of like they do here. The only negative about that is the word "Television" probably wouldn't be in the shot sliding in from the right.
@samsticka Plus the television studio logos had to be kind of quick at the very end of the show (still kind of like this today), rather than a long, drawn-out "pre-show presentation" such as this one. To the best of my memory, probably one of the longest television logo idents was the Stephen J. Cannell Production logo, where SJC is seen typing away, takes the page out of the typewriter, and the page morphs into the typewriter logo. And even *that* one had a *shorter* version!
As old as this ident is, I feel this was the best Paramount ident ever made, even compared to the CG versions.
It's just that it feels special in its own way, from the modern rendition of the "Paramount" name to the use of the background and cloud animation from the past. And then the fade to blue, showing the corporate logo.
@Watcher3223 the 1987-up to the 00's logo annoyed me ,too Much colour and the current version is not much better. You are corrrect,This one just feels Cinema

It just feels more complete.
