This was an example of that, albeit a poorly executed example, but an example nonetheless. Try to understand, think, then speak. Instead of just seeing and then speaking because things we've seen can be better understood after we've given them some thought.
I'm not saying it's senseless. I don't believe any terrorist act is senseless. I'm just saying it's very violent, and I don't understand how people can actually enjoy this kind of stuff. 1 thing bothers me about this level.....the guy who shoots his LMG with one hand...AND THE GUN STAYS STABLE? In real life the recoil of the LMG would have made the gun go wild and drop from his hand, onto the floor, jammed, not work, and the terrorrists would kill him themselves :)

This was portray rather seriously, as part of political move by Makarov. He sacrifices the lives of his own kin so he can kill a lot of your own kin. And being part of the massacre just really pushes the envelope. Roach would NOT been able to live it down. Had he survived, he would be found rotting in a spetnatz Guglag.

i found out something cool about this mission. it is IMPOSSIBLE to not get hit by the pistol shot. i ran behind a wall before he shot me and i fell. i wish that one of the achievments was " Drop And Run: miss the pistol shot by dropping into prone and run to safety."
This mission really defines the phrase "Just following orders".Really sad how Allen has to kill all these innocent people in order to kill one guy.If he didnt die,he would probably be horrified by it.But,he is a soldier,and they have to do what they are told to do.Even if its wrong.

This mission is the exact definition of "the ugly truth." And the worst part is, people are blaming the game developers, saying it is spawning terrorists. If anything, it's preventing them. Anyone with a heart WILL FEEL how wrong this is and finish this level with some sort of regret or sadness. Those that don't were just born that way.

What a corrupt society. (Give the people what they want to see). Fuck that. Dude thats like looking through the eyes of the killer at collumbine. Who can seriously feel any sort of pleasure out of this mission. Its sickening, to think that there are people out there that enjoy playing this, especially if theyre american. I hope if they ever play it again, they remember 9/11. How is this game buyable with that scene in the game? Esp If our government believes violent video games cause shootings.

I don't oppose the inclusion of this scene at all.
But oh my god... I couldn't envision the person who would do this...This mission couldnt possibly happen in the real world, i cant imagine someone pretending to enjoy killing civillians

This was portray rather seriously, as part of political move by Makarov. He sacrifices the lives of his own kin so he can kill a lot of your own kin. And being part of the massacre just really pushes the envelope. Roach would NOT been able to live it down. Had he survived, he would be found rotting in a spetnatz Guglag.

I don't get how people get mad over this. I read that some people went through this level without shooting a single bullet. IT'S JUST A VIDEO GAME!!! They are not real people. It's not like their families are going to miss them or cry for them. They're not real. I like this level it was fun. And that's all I have to say about this level. It's just a game people, get over it.

i found out something cool about this mission. it is IMPOSSIBLE to not get hit by the pistol shot. i ran behind a wall before he shot me and i fell. i wish that one of the achievments was " Drop And Run: miss the pistol shot by dropping into prone and run to safety."

This mission really defines the phrase "Just following orders".Really sad how Allen has to kill all these innocent people in order to kill one guy.If he didnt die,he would probably be horrified by it.But,he is a soldier,and they have to do what they are told to do.Even if its wrong.

This mission is the exact definition of "the ugly truth." And the worst part is, people are blaming the game developers, saying it is spawning terrorists. If anything, it's preventing them. Anyone with a heart WILL FEEL how wrong this is and finish this level with some sort of regret or sadness. Those that don't were just born that way.

I think people are blowing this scene way out of proportion.
I mean, you have the option to skip the mission, and even if you didn't skip the mission it's not forcing you to kill any civilians.
People need to grow up and realize that violent acts like this have happened, are happening, and will always happen. Warfare isn't fucking beautiful. And I think the game is trying to get that through peoples heads.
