In the beta there was 7 days. On the first day the moon was that small. On the last 3 days the moon was the size it is on day 1, 2, and 3. If the moon started off as something tiny and hard to see it would of really made me say "Oh shit" When the moon gets really big.

@TheLinkinparkfan1996 make sure its the 3rd day at night at about 11:30(majora's mask time). goto the telescope man via the bombers hideout or the deku thingy(forgot lol) in termina field and "gaze" into the telescope. wait until about 00:00:10 or :9, and LITERALLY MASH THE B BUTTON. may take a few trys though!

Man this is freaken awesome! I remember when I first defeated Majora's Mask and at the "The End" part, I left that on all day hoping it would let me play the 4th day.  The N64 version (and maybe future releases too?) didn't loop back to the title screen after the end, so you were suppose to shut it off manually. The bliss of an ignorant youngster... lol good times.

@Glitcher2000 A bit late, but you can actually get through the whole game with the fourth day if you have the Deku mask and Ocarina (I haven't been able to test if Mikau and Darmani's quests can be done on the fourth day, but I'm pretty sure it's possible), Epona's Song (I haven't tested if she appears in the paddock and is accessible), and the Song of Storms (you can't open tombs in the New Day, so you have to have it beforehand).

The text appears after you defeat Majora's Mask at the end of the game. As long as the mask isn't beaten, everything is stuck in a time loop and goes back to day one at the end of the third day. When the mask is beaten, the loop breaks and the next day is new instead of being day one again.

From a programming standpoint, Nintendo probably put the 'Dawn of the X Day' images in order on the ROM, which makes it simpler to reference in code. You just mark a memory location, and for the 1st day you go there, the 2nd, the location after, and the 3rd, the location after that.

The game probably looked to the spot after the 'Dawn of the 3rd Day' image and found the Dawn of a New Day image.

like, after you get 100% you get extended play and it says that when you start it, Dawn of a new day, or Dawn of New Days. and then just have you play around in it with everyone saying stuff like, "That was so scary, but you saved us!" or "I'm just glad it's finally over..."

and you should be able to see the Skull kid playing with the faeries or something. and you should be able to play games with him...

You can beat the game without the mirror shield lol.. Not a hack anyways, it's a glitch, a hack is a game edited into something the original makers, or Nintendo in the instance, did not make it into. A glitch is anything that isn't supposed to happen in the game, like the 4th day, or bomb/chu hovering, megaflipping, supersliding, etc..

The Day 1 music is on because in Zelda Gaiden, the first Zelda MM, there were 7 days. it is thought the moon is so far because thats how far it was 7 days from the final day. Day 1 music plays because its Day 1 of 7 days
