  • Very nice playing. I wouldn't quite say that the sound is 'dirty', but its warm, a little fat, and heading in the right direction. 'Dirty' is the sound of Stevie Winwood's Hammond on 'Gimme Some Lovin' !

  • @jonsilence Thanks! Well, I have some other videos in which you can hear that the sound of my Hammond can sound more dirty. Winwood's Hammond has THE SOUND!

  • @jonsilence

By the way, he used a hammond M-100 -which is also a spinet like the P100 but with a better vibrato- without Leslie at that time.

  • Play that Hammond. Thumbs up if you love that sweet sound of hammond organs.

  • Oh that;s nice.......good work fella!

  • @TheDinzdale

    Thanks man! ;)

  • HOW can I get my Hammond T-582C to sound like this?

  • With a real tube Leslie. :)

  • Oh? Bet that's expensive.

  • There are cheaper ways but a real tube Leslie would be the most simple way to get an even better sound. IMHO What type of Leslie do you have?

  • @THEFINALHAZARD hook her to a tube guitar amp and play the power tubes! You'll be very close if you do a proper setup and play loud (so the keys klick) the spinet is just great with what she has already!

    Cheers!

  • Please tell me more about cap C203

.Where is it located - I have a Porta B

    Jos

  • It's in the percusion amp if I remeber right. You'll have to take a look at the schematics. Sorry

  • hey...very good!

can you tell me the drawbars settings?

apart from the 888 what are you using?

  • Oh.. I've changed a couple of settings in this song. Tell me for which part of song you would like to know drawbars settings?

  • Great sound!!! I have just buy an L100 and it sounds great!!! but I have a problem, last three drawbars don't work on the last octave on the upper manual. Any advices how to repair that?

  • Thanks zihcster! Yes, those spinets have their soul. :) Well, you don't have a problem. Last three drawbars don't work on the last octaves on the upper manual - that's the way it is. Solution for that problem is adding a foldback to your L100. Very complicated and time consuming. If it isn't very important just forget about it or buy yourself a ABC model. ;) Hope this helps.

  • Thank you for that information, I realy didn't know that. I am glad I didn't trie to repair it yet :D

  • No problem. ;)

  • Like you, I love the sound of this Hammond spinet. My 1969 B3 sounds too clean and I do not know how to work on them like you. Like the tune you are playing also, nice blues!!

  • Hello, thanks for the comment. Maybe I could help you with your sound. What kind of Leslie do you have?

  • Don't worry about getting a "real" hammond. The Spinet models sound every bit as good as they consoles. If you really want one, it will come to you, and hopefully for free. :]

  • Well, I don't agree with you that the spinet models sound every bit as good as consoles do. They sound very similar but... ;) Well, here in Europe you don't get Hammond for free... :))

  • I still haven't figured out how to play like that.. lol... I don't read music.. I just play by ear and you can't really play by ear to some of those Jazzy improvisations.. hehe ;) :)))

  • Well... I can read music but all I know I have learned playing by ear. Don't ask me how.. Maybe because I have listened Jon Lord a lot... :D
